Using the Wreath Maker

Hi and welcome to my blog! I pulled out a tool that I have not used in awhile. Do you remember the Wreath Maker? I had to find instructions on how to use it since I have not used it in a very long time. It was fun playing with it again and I had forgotten how easy it is to use. This is the card I made using the wreath that I formed.

Out With the New and in With the Old #8

 Using my old wooden stamps has been fun. It seems like I am using something new because I hardly use these wooden stamps. Today I used an old hot air balloon stamp to make a male card. The background was made by randomly applying water colors across the card. Then I used some polymer stamps to lightly stamp over it. I dry embossed the right side of the card with a striped embossing folder for more interest. The arrows are some dimensional stickers.

I am entering this card into the As You Like It Challenge. The challenge is simple or fussy. I have a hard time doing simple cards because I love doing techniques and I love to fill up the empty space. So this card is fussy as most of mine are.

I used a Martha Stewart corner and border punch to make the frame on this card. I have not used these in quite awhile. I love how they make a neat frame. The balloons are also from using a punch.

 I just love these cute little birds! I have had this stamp forever and I need to use it more often. I added the stamped leaves to the patterned paper to add a little more interest to the background. I am enjoying using my old wooden stamps!

I wish you a Blessed Easter!

I had seen on my friend's blog a parchment type die on a card she made. I just loved it. I was able to go to a craft sale and found one similar there. I was thrilled. I came home and made this card right away. I used these beautiful flower rub ons and then ran the card stock in the wood grain embossing folder using my embossing machine. Lastly I swiped over the raised areas of the wood grain with the Antique Linen Distress ink pad.
