While I no longer have the time to oversee and handle the RP, I had a high suspicion that the Roleplay couldn't continue without me.

I had attempted to drain the player base to the point that the new and inexperienced Administration could handle it, but they launched the RP without my consent, and got the result that has occurred.

I was in the midst of drafting an entire future scenario wherein the Cromwellians and Berkeley RP factions wouldn't end up fighting one another anymore, and conclude the Civil War. The Civil War itself needed to conclude under my administration, but I simply no longer had the time to do so. When you move several ranks in the hierarchy at once, even if you'd have space in your schedule a month or two later, there's simply no cutting it if you don't dedicate everything for those first handful of weeks.

It's my failure for starting the Grand Tier without having the expectation that the major promotion I filed for would be approved so easily and quickly.

It truly is a shame, but the Roleplay that I built upon my hard work, fairness, and reputation simply shouldn't continue in this way.

The Interwar Roleplay system is a style of Administration that is only for HIGHLY EXPERIENCED Admins. It will sweep away those who are short tempered, short willed, or biased in a flash. While the Interwar System can- without a doubt- handle hundreds of players with only a handful of admins, it will strangle a Roleplay without a key admin to handle the tides. I had planned on being that central figure to hold everything together, and we were so close to reaching it. It's just so unfortunate that Real Life comes first sometimes.

The Grand Tier was a creation that may have lasted anywhere from one to three entire years in Steam Roleplay, even inspiring a dozen roleplays during and after. But what I had the chance for was something that would affect my life for the next 40 year. It became a choice of what to sacrifice, and what to keep.

It is needless to say that I chose the real world, as I always have, and always will. The real world, no matter how much some may wish it, does exist. It is what allows us all to enjoy the cyber world, and it is something in which we all must one day contribute to if we wish to continue living.

I have not given up on Roleplay as a whole, but this may verywell be my final large-scale roleplay project.

There will never be a day where there will be a word that can describe how crestfallen I am that I could not see this project through.



To all those who enjoyed this Roleplay, I have failed you all, and I offer my greatest apologies for it.

The Grand Tier project passes on, perhaps into the future as an Idea to be revived, perhaps to oblivion in the servers of Steam, time will tell as it always has.

Who knows, I may even bring it back with a full team able to handle the tides one day.
