First off you want to download and install these programs:

MySysGit (Git For Windows): < Required for Tortoise Git to function.

Tortoise Git (The client to download git's)

PICK THE CORRECT ONE FOR YOUR OS TYPE!

64-Bit:

Tortoise SVN (the SVN client to download svn's)

First off. Find out where your garrysmod install is located

Mine is still under; C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\Steam\steamapps\username\garrysmod\garrysmod

It can also be located at
C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\Steam\steamapps\Common/GarrysMod/garrysmod



Copy the github link of the addon that you are downloading

Right click on a open spot in your addons folder( on nothing ) and click on

Git Clone

It should automaticly fill out the URL and Folder Name then all you have to do is click OK
and it will start downloading the addon you chose.

At least once a day you want to right click on the folder that git created for the addon and hit Git Pull to keep your addon updated.



Downloading SVN's are pretty much the same as gits as you use SVN Checkout to download and SVN Update to update.
