Daughter is treasure!

Helloooo dear friends!!!

Have you seen a card which is a book or a book which is actually a Card??

If you haven't already, here is what I have created ! I have created another Fancy fold card- A Book Card(which is this week's theme for Crafty Girl's Corner)! ;)

Here is the card:

I am going to give a step by step tutorial for a Book Card:

1.Create a Card base scoring in such a way that u have some space in the middle like a book

2.Cut a few strips and border punch them like this.

3.Score a few strips vertically and horizontally like this and border punch them.

4.Paste them together like this:

5.After pasting all the four borders, your book like inside of the card is ready

6.Cut out a few layers from beautiful patterned papers.

7. I am using this week's Sassy Studio Designs # 270 Tic Tac Toe Board Add Flowers-Use a Sentiment-Use Pink

8. My Flowers are totally handmade. I have added this beautiful FloralBride Freebie from Sami Stamps. I am entering for this week's Sami Stamp Challenge

9. Here is the card ready with a wedding theme! I have added the sentiment using Kaiser Craft Cartoon Alphabet Stamp Set and using Worn Lipstick distress ink everywhere. I tried giving a Vintage look without using the actual Vintage colors to the borders.

I am also entering this card for IBSIC # 91 Challenge which inspired me use the watercolors in the Digi and the pic inspiration for colors.

Colorful Tag!

Hello Crafters!

I have come up with a card inspired by the following creation by Donna from Tag You're It! Challenge # 15.. This is the inspirations:

Here is my take on the tag:

I was inspired by those bright colors and the white background. .

I have used Bo Bunny to the point stamp set for the sentiment. Used Stencil for the stars and distress ink - moved lawn, salty ocean, worn lipstick and wild honey.

Jack Sparrow

Oh man! Its been a long long time since I held my brush and canvas! My last Art post was in December 2014 ! (I missed my brushes and colors and palette!)
Not that I wasn't creative! I was busy Crafting !! ;)

I was pretty excited when I got to know that the theme for this week's Pin(spirational )Challenge  # 134 (Top 3) is this guy and Kraftin Kimmie Stamps # 268 had a Movie theme!

Who doesn't get excited seeing HIM? Mr.Johnny Depp!! :P

So, I got my creative juices running and came with something that I hadn't tried before on Canvas! A Mixed Media Art. What I came up with is -

Hehe...Take 1 at Mixed Media made me so happy that I have decided to make more of these! (Also, I will paint more often!) Mr. Jack Sparrow's quote "Now, on deck! Batten down the hatches, weigh anchor! We sail..with the tide!" is the one that I have used on my canvas!

Umm...there are sooo many things that I have used here - Acrylic, oil paints, Gel pens, distress ink, photo transfer, fabric color, stencils, digital stamps, clear stamps , sequins, Homemade embossing paste, bubble wrap! Phew! :P

I was carried away with the painting so couldn't do the tutorial ;). I will do it for the next time!

Did you like my mixed media attempt?

I am also entering it for Rhedd's Creative Spirit Challenge and Frosted Designs  (I have used inks, paints, home made embossing paste in the design to get messy ;) )

"Love this moment" CAS(E)!

Hi All,

I am gonna CASE a card for this month's CASEplorations Challenge . I decided to CASE Vicki's Card.

This inspirational card made by Vicki is fabulous!! I loved the way she has repeatedly stamped "Forever". I also loved the way she used white embossing over a vellum. :D

Hence, I decided to incorporate them in my card!
Here is my take on the card:

I have used STAMPlorations freebie as the digital stamp. I colored it using distress ink.
I have layered the card with another white water sheet and repeatedly stamped the sentiment using Bo Bunny Clear Stamps set. I used Salty Ocean distress ink from Tim Holtz. I used my intensity on the dauber to show off different shades of blue. This gives the card a Monochromatic effect which is this week's Casology theme.

I have followed this week's sketch of The Sweetest Thing and STAMPloration # 28 which is as follows:

Here is another look:

I am entering this card for the following challenges:
1.Stamplorations CASEing Challenge which ends on 5/3
2.STAMPlorations Never Ending challenge which asks us to use STAMPloration stamps.
3.Casology Challenge # 134 which ends on  24/2
4.The Sweetest Thing # 256 which ends on 22/2
5.STAMPlorations Bi-weekly # 28 which ends on 28/2

Butterfly CAS

Hello Peeps!

I used this week's STAMPlorations Bi-weekly sketch # 28 which ends on 27/2 and The Sweetest Thinsg Sketch # 256 for this card :

Here is my take on the sketch:

I was very excited to use a butterfly on my card; the reason being that I came across a lot of beautiful inspirations in our Blog-Land so I decided to use it! I think every Crafter MUST use a butterfly atleast once in her crafting career! :P

I used a freebie butterfly clipart and fuzzy cut it out. I colored it using Wild Honey distress ink from Tim Holtz. I adhered the butterfly to the card using a foam tape.

For the card, the background is a water color card stamped with "Bo Bunny -to the point Stamp Set" using wild honey distress ink. (I used a round Bokeh stamp!)

For the layer, I created a Bokeh Effect using a Fall Leaf Stencil which i bought from the local store. I am loving this Bokeh technique! It's so fresh! I firstly sprintz water and added wild honey and moved lawn distress ink over it. Then I stenciled the leaves using the same colours. I masked the white colored leaves which gave this sheet the required Bokeh effect! :) Stenciling technique has miscellaneous uses! The current challenge for Craft Stamper is Stenciling. (which ends on 25/2)

I stamped the sentiment using Versamark and Gold embossing powder. I had a hard time capturing the golden color..! I tried and shadowed it using a black pilot pen!

The stamp used is from Bo Bunny Stamp Set.

Here is another look of the card!

I am also entering this card for Addicted to CAS challenge# 57 (ends on 27/2) which says us to use MASKing technique for a CAS card which I have used for the Bokeh Technique. :)
