A day filled with sunshine

This sweet fairy on Plate #125 by Samantha Rawlings just make me think of sitting outside in the sun on a beautiful Spring day.  Since it was snowing at my house this morning, I guess it isn't in my near future to do so, but I can certainly dream!

Fly away Fairy!

Here's one of the most delightful fairy stamps that was designed by well known artist Valerie Wade. This fairy is named Samantha (Plate #118). I love that name as it's my neice's name so I colored up this fairy with Samantha (or Sammie as we call her) in mind.

Samantha loves purple so I used a lot of that while coloring and added my favorite color which is orange. Once I colored the image, I used that color palette to select my card and embellishments. I had a wonderful sheet of orange with a sparkly background. I added lots of purple embellishments and die cut the saying out using nestabilities. I added some sparkle to the image's wings using Stickles.

Now I hope she will love this card when I present it to her.

Cheers all!

Lily Dreaming Beauty

I love the dramatic colors on this card! The lilies are colored with Copics to match the ones in the image! I hadn't used black ink for distressing before and really like how it worked on this. I also used a black Sakura gelly pen to give the flourishes some shine. Lots of texture on this one!

Summer booklet

I have finally played with my bind-it-all for the first time. I've had it for about a year, but not played with it until today. I have been feeling like making other things than cards lately and this was the perfect project. As the weather is so beautiful here I jumped for joy when I found these papers in my stash.

The image I have used is radiant butterfly from plate 86 and I have cut around it so you might have not recognized it at first. I coloured her with promarkers to match the papers. I like how I manged to align her to the background paper as it looks like there are flowers coming out of her hair. There is some glitter on the butterfly and flowers, but it doesn't show properly.

The booklet has 12 pages in these wonderful colours. I think the image is perfect as there are butterflies on some of the papers too. I thought the black would clash, but think it only accentuates the bright colours. I was thinking about decorating it more with flowers and such, but I think the front should be flat to be practical and I didn't want to overwhelm the beautiful image. I also left the top blank so whoever gets this album can add their own text.
