Ein bisschen Physik - A Little Bit of Physics

Quantenmechanik... Hmm.. Ein Begriff, den mein Schätzle so aus dem Ärmel heraus erklärt... Ich dagegen verstehe davon nüscht... Was mir aber Eindruck machte, war dieser, SEHR für mich vereinfachte, Begriff der "Verschränkung": Der Zustand eines Systems von zwei oder mehr Teilchen lässt sich nicht als Kombination unabhänger Teilchenzustände begreifen, sondern nur durch einen gemeinsamen Zustand.

Künstlerisch sehe ich das so: Wenn ich EIN Bild male und es zerschnippele, die Einzelteile an verschiedene Empfänger in der ganzen Welt versende, so reagieren die einzelnen (makroskopisch gesehen) Bildteile als Ganzes, tragen also das gesamte Bild und dessen Information in sich. So. Und wenn ich also in mein Bild so viel Optimismus stecke, so viel Hoffnung, Mut und alle positive Energie, deren ich fähig bin (solange ich also das aufs Bild kriege, was ich dort haben will), verteile ich genau diesen Geist an die Empfänger... Hmmm. Denke ich mir jedenfalls so. Oder so ähnlich jedenfalls. Also. Was habe ich gemacht:
6 Glasuntersetzer aus Holz, rundherum zusammengehalten durch Klebeband, als eine Fläche bemalt und

wieder getrennt werden jetzt in der Welt verteilt. Möchtet Ihr Einzelheiten sehen? Hier bitteschön:

Quantum phyiscs. Nothing I really understand. (And I am sure that I am not alone). However, WHAT impressed me about it is following: Quantum Entanglement.
ENTANGLE: (Physics): To cause (the quantum states of two or more objects) to become correlated in such a way that they remain correlated, even though the objects are separated spatially (Definition by Freedictionary.com).

What I understand: I create an image, cut it into several pieces and send all the individual pieces to several recipients all over the world. Then those individual pieces (in a macroscopic perspective to simplify the whole thing) react as a whole unity, and bear the complete image and its information in themselves. That's it. And, so I think, if I plant so much optimism into this work, as much hope, courage and positive energy as I can, I should be able to distribute exactly this spirit towards the recipients.... Hmmm... That's what I think... Or so... In a metaphysical way...
So, what have I done?

6 wooden coasters, held together by some craft tape around it in order to produce one single surface to paint on. After the process they were separated again and distributed among others.

Herbstliche Farben... Autumn Colours

Wie immer, wenn ich in ein neues Abenteuer hinein getaucht bin, erkunde ich jede Facette davon... Also das heißt, in Wirklichkeit würdet Ihr mich niemals mit dem Kopf unter mehr als knietiefem Wasser sehen... Das wäre mir unheimlich... Aber es klingt so hübsch...In etwas hineinzutauchen... Das tat ich im wahrsten Sinne mit dem Pinsel im Wachs... Und hier ein neues Resultat.

Mutig geworden legte ich mehrere Schichten von Transfers und sogar Serviettenstücke ins Wachs. Auch ein Stempel wurde verewigt (bis dass die Sonne uns trenne, sozusagen...). Mein letzter Post enthielt das Tutorial dazu. Ihr findet es hier.

Und für alle Textilkünstler unter Euch möchte ich auf meine absolut talentierte Blogfreundin Suzy weisen, die einen wunderbaren Stoffbuchkurs anbietet. Wie klingt das denn auf Deutsch... Hmmm... Bleiben wir bei "Textile Book". Wenn Ihr sie nicht schon kennt, dann besucht sie doch. Ihr werdet nicht enttäuscht sein!

As always I love to dive into a new adventure and explore every possiblity of it. As a matter of fact, however, you would never ever find my head beyond water which is more than knee-deep. I find this horrifying... But it sound so nice... To dive into something... Which I did with my brush in wax... Here is a new wax collage...

I was encouraged by the outcome of my most recent one and layered it with print transfers, tissue paper and a stamp. My last post included the tutorial. You will find it here.
