A Special Challenge For Sidnie - Anything Goes week at Simon Says Stamp!

It's been a while!

I have not made a card or blogged in such a long time I wasn't sure if I would even remember how to.

This week I have the honour of being back with my amazing teamies to join them in a special challenge dedicated to our beautiful & brave friend Sidnie Des Jardins who lost her hard fought battle with cancer earlier this month.

This week our challenge is -

Anything Goes!

The design team are featuring

products on their cards this week.

Don't forget you can enter our challenge 5 times and there is no limit to how many challenges you combine your entry with.

Do you use Instagram?  If so, please add #ssswchallenge to your challenge entry uploads so we can see them on there too.

Those who know me well knows I love the exclusive Simon Says Stamp products and my card today features some of my all time favourites, the DevonshirePaulina butterfly dies, Scallop Stitches & Large Tags dies & woodgrain cardstock.
The stamps I have used are Simon's Handwritten Borders stamps set & the beautiful Delicate Outline Flowers stamp which I have watercoloured using Altenew Pan Set & added some finishing touches using Simon's Moonshine sequins, pearls & Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Happy DieCember®!

Good afternoon lovely peeps and happy

Written by our lovely Heidi on the Simon Says Stamp blog

Our very first DieCember was in December 2013, and the team is a bit in awe that it's been 10 years already!! I’m not exactly or precisely sure when die cutting became a hot trend in crafting. It’s hard to pinpoint. However, I do know that die cutting has changed the way that we create. Cutting out beautiful and often intricate images is a delightfully fun part of paper crafting. Die cutting embellishes our art in interesting ways. People that aren’t paper crafters are often mystified when they receive a card that has anything die cut involved in the design. If you haven’t experienced this wonderment and awe, be sure to spread some handmade joy this season!

To celebrate dies as one of my most favorite crafty products (after stamps, of course ;)), we are hosting a month-long DieCember® celebration. Throughout the month you will see special features, sales, education, and inspiration that focus on die cutting.

Kicking off our DieCember® celebration is a release of beautiful exclusive wafer-thin dies.

I can't believe it's our 10th DieCember®! I was lucky enough to be with the fabulous Simon Says Stamp before the very first DieCember®  & it's always my favourite release as I love all things Christmas.
Today I have featured the beautiful new Snowflake Hexagon dies which I love and have used to not only create cards but also to decorate presents.

Today's card features Clearly Besotted Flower Friends Clear Stamps which I have stamped using Ink On 3 Fadeout ink pad watercoloured with my Altenew pans set. I stamped the cute flowers & masked them & stamped again before water colouring them &  added some grass using my paintbrush once the image was dry.
