Welcome to the Family - Winnie & Walter Rerun Challenge

Hello my crafty friends!

Today is the start of a new Rerun Challenge at the Winnie & Walter Blog using the adorable "Welcome to the Family" stamp set and I'm sooo excited to be participating!

Here is the card that I created:

I started out by die cutting the "Cover Model: Do you See What I See? "Cutaway in white, and a couple of coordinating patterned papers and solid cardstock.  I then carefully laid in some of the pieces from the patterned papers and cardstock to make a quilting pattern.  Once the background was completed, I stamped the bear/bunny using Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink onto X-Press It blending card and colored them with Copic Markers (bear: E70/E71/E74/E93; bunny: W00/W1/W3/E93).

I took some polka-dotted vellum I had in my stash and cut a small scalloped frame, then stamped the Congrats from "The Big and Bold and You" stamp set onto a piece of acetate using StazOn ink.

Put it all together and voila - the perfect card to welcome a newborn bundle of joy!

Head on over to the Winnie & Walter Blog to play along with the challenge and/or post a comment on their Rerun post and you could win a prize!

Thanks for stopping by...

Cheers!

Lil' Inker Designs Mini Release Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the next stop in the Lil' Inker Designs Mini Release Blog Hop!  You should have come from Jen Carter's blog!

My card features one of the new stamp sets, "Be the Reason That Someone Smiles Today":

I started with a 5.5 x 4.25 piece of Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock and on the smooth side, I stamped the sentiment using Versamark Ink, added white embossing powder and heat embossed it until the powder has melted.  Then, I taped it down to a small cutting board using painter's tape.  I used a flat brush and wet the surface and randomly added Distress Inks initially using Mustard Seed, Worn Lipstick, Abandoned Coral and Carved Pumpkin.  I later added some Picked Raspberry in the center to help make the sentiment pop out a little more.

I let the panel dry on it's own and then I stared at it for a very long time.  I thought about adding some sequins or clear drops or something - but honestly, I did not want anything distracting, so in the end, I left it as is.  I adhered the panel to a piece of dark gray card base.

For a chance to win one of the two new sentiment stamp sets or the cover plate and angel pets goodies, continue to hop along and leave comments along the way.  Winners will be chosen from comments on ANY of the blogs.

The next stop on the hop is my super sweet friend, JE Shay!  If you've gotten lost along the way, you can go to the Lil' Inker Designs blog to start from the beginning and see the entire blog hop lineup!

Thanks for stopping by!

Cheers!

Let's Party

My sweet friend Lisa Petrella and I decided that we would both enter LawnFawnatics Challenge #1.  The quickest and easiest yes I've made as of late :)  I mean, what's not to love about Lawn Fawn, right?  :)  And I love to participate with other sweet crafty friends - especially one I get to spend a crafty weekend with in just a few short days - cannot wait!  :)

Here is the card that I created:

I recently went to the Rubber Stamp Convention in Carson and was lucky to have grabbed the last Scalloped Box Card Pop-Up die, so this was my first attempt using it.  I have to say that although the die makes it a LOT easier than having to cut/score the box manually - it is still a labor of love!  I used several slightly older Lawn Fawn stamp sets and dies and a couple of different 6x6 plaid patterned paper packs.  I methodically added elements - starting with the grassy layers, added a couple of clouds,  and created and attached the banner.

Next, I stamped and Copic colored the squirrel, bunny, balloons, birthday chickie and birthday cake.  Here is a close up of some of those elements:

For the box flaps, I cut a couple of the panels from the box die from coordinating plaid paper and adhered them.  Next, I die cut the white piece and stamped the sentiment.  Then added the other small images that I Copic colored.

I hope you like it...

Cheers!

National Craft Month Blog Hop

Hello my crafty friends!

I'm super excited to be participating in National Craft Month Celebration Blog Hop sponsored by Right at Home!  After all, I've been a crafter my entire life and my little blog needed a little boost of activity.

Here is the card I created for the Hop:

There's something so pretty about rainbow colors :)  And I think it goes perfectly with this crafty-licious new stamp set and this Blog Hop!  I stamped the images on X-Press It paper and colored them with Copic Markers.

Here is another card I created using the same stamp set:

Another go-to color combination for me is kraft, red and white :)  I stamped and embossed some of the awesome crafty images, added a sentiment and voila!

And guess what?!?  You have a chance to win this amazing stamp set!  All you have to do is hop along and comment along the way!

Next stop on the Blog Hop is the uber talented Cheryl!  I've been lucky enough to have met Cheryl at a crafty weekend in Kansas last Fall and trust me, you do not want to miss out on her creativity - it will truly leave you breathless :)

Here is the list for the entire Blog Hop, in case you get lost along the way:
