New Newsletter

Our October newsletter was just sent out.

We're announcing part of our 2011 Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT) seminar schedule and introducing a new tangle Cirquital.

We also  must share a larger group photo from our fourth CZT seminar. It is our great good fortune to attract absolutely wonderful people!

Happy Birthday David!

Maria created a Zentangle for her brother David's birthday. It had a large solid black area. Wanting to add to it, I borrowed her oblique calligraphy pen, some white ink and . . .

• Original Zentangle tile
• Sakura® Pigma™ Micron 01 and Pigma Graphic 1 black pens
• Pencil
• Oblique pointed pen
• Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleed Proof White™ ink

A Zentangle in Silk

"NP" sent us an email with a beautiful rendition of a Zentangle in silk.

She describes her process,

This was done using a water-based resist and heat-set silk paints on an 11 x 11 scarf.  The scarf was ironed onto freezer paper to make it easier to work on.

What a natural medium for Zentangle inspired creations! Thank you for sending that.
