Thank you so much!! I drew the characters and the main car background in Procreate, drawn with references, and the driving parts and some of the background stills are from a stock video that I took screenshots of and individually edited each frame to make it look more "jumpy". I actually made a tutorial for how I got the texture for everything, which you can watch here. I did the same process for the sprites as I did for everything else!
I played through a couple times to find different ending variations, and I really enjoyed this game. Highlights for me were definitely:
1) Art / visual style: I loved the overall look of the sprites, background, interface, etc. and how they really established the vibe of the game. I could tell what sort of era and feeling it was going for before I read the synopsis or started playing. Also really liked how the text box blends with the car dash.
2) Music: Again, helped sell the overall vibe. Plus I'm always a fan of original music over stock music.
It is a very short game, and my only real complaint is that I think it could be expanded into a longer storyline, but the length also makes it easy to replay and discover all the endings.
Thank you so much for the review, Iโm so glad you liked it!! I really appreciate that you liked the art and music so much as Iโm very proud of those! Iโm definitely hoping to make future projects longer, and I recognize that itโs a very short game, and that does seem to be one of the main complaints with it
It's a good game. The art style is very good an unique.
The story is... not the best but definitely not bad.
A problem is that the story is very short, like 10min gameplay and only 2 ending (in my gameplay).
The game wasn't too much of a horror (maybe because I read too much horror & played horror these past days).
The music is pretty good especially for a small game.
Overall it's good, wouldn't recommend it to a person who wants to play a visual novel (visual novels ranges starts at 3 hours) but would recommend it for someone who wants to play a short, small horror game.
Note: in the files settings of itch game page, set the files to (executable windows) so itch.io program can download it.
Thank you so much for the honest review!! I know itโs a pretty short story and I was expecting that to be a bit of a problem, honestly. I wanted it to be essentially a short story that I could make into a โvisual novelโ with some choices and interactivity to kind of cut my teeth on being able to make a game. Future projects I will definitely try to make longer, with more endings and choices if it suits the project. Also, thanks for the tip about the executable, that seems obvious to do now but Iโm very new at this ๐ Iโm glad you seem to have enjoyed it overall!
