  • Upgraded comic system to support censorship.
  • Upgraded comic system to support animations.
  • Upgraded comic system to handle non-POV scenes.
  • Non-POV scenes can be turned on/off in the settings (these are scenes where the MC is nowhere near or is not directly involved).
  • Added comic censorship in settings. Sometimes scenes will have things going on that you may want to see fully, partially, or not at all, letting the imagination take over. This setting is for you (not to mention it needed to be implemented for future true MC POV anyway).
  • Updated startup screen to support new censorship.
  • Upgraded gallery to handle images. The sheer size of this update broke the gallery and increased RAM usage by a sizable amount. This upgrade provides optimizations that make the gallery scroll smoothly without consuming tons of RAM.
  • NTRS Path (finally, after a whole year, NTRS is splitting off into its own path).
  • Upgraded the Stats app to support new NTRS changes.
  • Upgraded Stats app to record unique partners.
  • Created/added a new centralized animation system. This will handle all UI animations going forward.
  • Preparation for a certain event (more info at a later date).
  • Upgraded the ENTIRE UI so it uses the new animation system.
  • Tons of bugfixes, most of which came from this development cycle (0 fun, pure grind).
  • A lot of optimizations designed to hopefully counteract the increase in size this update brings with it.
  • And finally, the story continues… (not for Lovers, hang tight).

Known issues:

  • A certain scene plays while you do not have nano-bots. This is being looked into and will be fixed in a later patch.
  • Gallery has no animations. The video part of the gallery needs a complete rework to handle the animations and unlocks for those animations. Since they can’t be unlocked, they have not been added to the gallery and also do not tally to the total gallery count.
  • Timeline not saving correctly, will be hot fixing this asap.

What’s it like to lose your spouse and then have to rediscover dating? That is the story being told in First Dates After 50. A narrative focused visual novel that is fully voiced and includes custom artwork, animations and should provide at least a couple of hours of entertainment, if not more.
My hope is to present a heartfelt emotional story told with quality production values.​

This is a complete but early build. The only story line included is for a man dating women. I am wanting to gauge if there is any interest in the concept before I dump more time and pain into development. Please comment and let me know what content you would like to see. The same goes for gender types for both the player and dates.
This is an attempt to make a game solo using AI tools. My goal was to make something that was not AI slop. This is a focus on narrative not choice, so a true visual novel.
Please Note: Ren’Py let’s me build for other Operating Systems, but the only one I have tested on is Windows 11. Please let me know if you have issues with the other builds.
