Hey, the search table in this case was intended to just be a narrative event and not count as a ‘proper’ encounter with a Lead. It’s just convenient that the Leads Speak table could be the Local’s opinion on your Target. 

That said, if it makes sense to you that this Local is one of the two Leads you meet before your Target, I don’t see any harm at all in it playing it that way! It’s a bit of an oversight that I haven’t explained that clearly, but it’s your story 😄

it’s not designed to be anything other than a solo game, but I think it depends on how much you want to tweak the rules yourself or discuss the narrative events as they come up? The expansion, Outsiders, also has a duo character which you could split the dice rolls on if you wanted something more obviously two-player 😄

Nice, glad you’re enjoying it! I like to think of each event as a small highlight/scene as part of your wider search for the target. Kinda like how a TV show is usually set around a few sets/locations and doesn’t show the characters actually travelling between them, but picks out the most dramatic moments. You can imagine the locals saying to each other that there’s a Nomad sniffing around looking for someone 😄

Sure, I can’t see any reason why it would break the game if you want to do that! Some of the destination event tables already say to roll twice, as they take place in the larger hubs on each planet. It was just a design decision to keep your game moving but whatever you prefer should work - you’ll just need to move on in order to trigger leads and targets eventually.

There is no exclusive content! It’s just some wording that is part of the itch.io site. I use that section to provide free community copies :)

I'll definitely write another solo game in future and have an idea for another expansion to Notorious.

But I'm actually working with my friend Jack on a set of 3 solo games at the moment and maybe something else after that :)

I would suggest moving to the epilogue and calculating your score as if you let the target get away! But you could treat it as a regular defeat, go back to the game loop and meet them again if you prefer :)

I tried to write it so you can mix and match the Nomads between both games :)

You just might need to look at the Factions in Outsiders—as they have an allied Faction listed in their profile.

It might help when things like your Origin/Scar/Trigger come up when switching between games.
