Wow, thank you so much. I just hope the game feels like the original and that the people who played it remember those wonderful years. Not being an experienced graphic designer, I've done my best to create excellent graphics, since I did them all myself. It's a pleasure to be featured in ZZTAP magazine, a dream come true. I hope I can get one and keep it with my collection. Hugs and retro greetings from Spai
I'd never thought about needing a jump button. And I've never seen a problem with doing it with the up directional key/stick. But your suggestion makes me realize that perhaps some users prefer to jump with a button rather than the up directional key. In fact, in my previous game, The Lost Pixel, I changed the jump from up to shoot, due to popular demand, but with Hundra, wanting to maintain the similarity with the original, I've kept it as it is now.
Changing it now is impossible because the assignable keys in Redpill are already filled with other commands like resetting the character (Shoot 2), going to the menu (ESC), and exiting the game (F2). So I apologize for not being able to satisfy your request. Big hug.
Thank you. That was the main idea behind making this game, so all of us Amiga fans could enjoy it. Yes, I know it's a port of an 8-bit platformer, but it was a dream come true to play it on my Amiga, and that's why I made it. I love reading comments from users who played the original game and appreciate the significant changes this version brings. So, thank you so much for your support. Hugs.
I knew I was going to like that easter egg XD. It refers to another 8-bit game, Game Over, whose second part was called Phantis. Tomorrow I'll upload a longplay of the game, in case you want to see it and learn how to beat it. Only if you've played the original 8-bit version is it easier to beat because you know what to do. If not, it's harder. I hope the game lives up to the original, my idea was to make the same game but with improved graphics. In the end I added so many new features that I lost count XD. I would have liked to give it a background with more colors but the limit of 16 colors didn't allow it and neither did I want that background to move, since it would have looked bad to have the mountains moving in a game with static screens or screen flippers. I hope that the feeling I had when playing it the first time on an Amstrad CPC is achieved with this version for Amiga. That's the main objective. A hug from Spain.
I only have access to an Amiga 1200 with PiStorm and another with a Blizzard and it worked on both. I am also not a fan of those fpga and misters, although I do see the A500mini favorably since it is more accessible to play their games for people who did not have a friend or for people who do not want to complicate things. In the world of Amiga almost everything has a place XDD. A retro greeting!!!
ahh okay, what a scare you've given me hahaha. The game is very tested and works without problems and I also sometimes crash games in winuae when I take snapshots. I have done many tests with games made in Redpill and they have very rarely failed me. Winuae already explains it this way with an information window when taking a snapshot. On the other hand, although you don't say it, I would love to see a review of The Lost Pixel in your excellent magazine. You have my permission, of course. It would be an honor. A big hug to the entire Amiguera community of Italy, from Spain. Amiga Forever !!!
Yeah, in theory yes, the fixes are gone. The last version of Redpill has solved that problem. Although I still have to try it XD. I can't live any longer hahahaha. I hope so. Thanks for playing my game and for the comment. It's a pleassure that my game are linking by all Amigans. I am very happy. Amiga Forever !!!
