Oh no, I made public service announcement not to go to level 7-8-9 haha for this reason. It is my first game, I did not think people play it for an hour to get to the hard levels. I have messed up with level 7 myself because the floppy arms hit the cube!
Thanks for enjoying Pixel, I am making it into a full game now. No painful cube though.
I definitely had two endings, when only bacteria survived (bad) and the other bacterial survived (because of walls). Still lost ahah so I am not sure how to approach it.
I think the very scientific approach to the game would loose a bit of the fun aspect of having bacteria turf wars, but happy to see how it turns out if you work more on it. Fun over accuracy any day as games are meant for entertainment. If it takes a lot of testing to win and randomisation makes the game unfair, then it would hurt the player i.e. doing everything right and still get punished.
Interesting take on simulation games though, hope you keep making them!
It is cool to get a review from someone who also makes puzzles, as we have similar game design and development struggles. Therefore I am really glad you enjoyed the game and the mechanics of Pixel. Movement was increased a lot due to playtesting and wanting to zoom around, haha. Speed and fun over slow precision seems like what everyone likes about the game. I spend a lot of time uh.. "playtesting" the driving mechanics of the game myself.
Yeah, my #50! I really appreciate all the reviews. As a first game and jam, I was not expecting people to give me so much of their time and play my game. I am really pleased with the engagement and the comments I have received, thus giving me a clear direction on improvement and further development of the game.
Top 2 or 3 is already great honour coming from a quality puzzle dev, so thank you for taking the time to enjoy my game!
Absolutely adorable sheeps and puppy. Good to see other puzzle games on here! I wanted to make a sheep game as well, so it's nice to see this!
Really cute sheeps, great level design and very pretty game. Pixel but modern and simplistic style fits really well.
The puzzles are very precise and I definitely lost sheep because they fall too quick haha!
Wow, super cool game. Pretty much a full release! The tutorial helped a lot but the time slow made me mess up some jumps for sure. Second time through was much easier. Love the backflips and warning signs. Took a few runs to understand what is an obstacle and what is part of the environment. I thought blowing up the barrels in front would do something.
Shop is cool, would be nice to see some icons or changes, but that is beyond the 10 day jam. Really fun and satisfying to have upgrades and zoom around faster.
Really cool visuals and music combination, good job on the colors, feels uniform and professional. Even the background is a nice touch of 3D!

I am so sorry >_< This is my first game, I thought people try out a level or two and move on?! I made 7-9 very difficult because I thought some hardcore gamers will say levels 1-3 are too easy and I didn't think people would play that far in because it's around an hour to get there.
You're an absolute legend for completing 7 and 8, those are a huge pain. I wish I could give achievements for making it that far. Of course, I will change them for the final version of the game. Maybe level 30 or so is allowed to be that annoying.
