Redownload and move the 'game' file out of the extracted folder and into your applications folder before opening. I had the same problem with Elevator Hitch but it works correctly now

Have you tried redownloading it, opening the folder and moving ONLY the "game" file into your applications folder? I think you still have to override the security to open it but it should work fine after that

try again but this time after overriding security move the game file (not the folder, just 'game') into your applications folder. i had an issue with elevator hitch where it wouldn't save my deaths until i did that ;v; i know it's not the same problem but it might still work. idk tho i've had a 2012 macOS catalina for two years
