Oh my, this is so adorable and totally my kind of vampire-boys-love-horror 🩸🦇

You can really feel the love and craft that went into this. Thank you so much for sharing it with us cheering you on for EP2!

Yay

5 years 4 months...

definitely not update, but maybe a "new story" after 8 years...

Bjørn-Giovanni from "Night on the Galactic Railroad" by Kenji Miyazawa (novel), GisaburĹŤ Sugii (anime film)

Bjørn's dream about the train is basically Giovanni vibes. Quiet, reflective, wandering between past and future, trying to make sense of things. Arvo is totally his Campanella , keeping him grounded while he drifts through his thoughts.

Arvo-“Ships That Pass in the Night” by Longfellow

Arvo is that friend who notices when people drift apart or just barely connect. That poem fits him perfectly-thoughtful, a little melancholy, aware that moments of closeness don't last forever.

Rune-“Black Dog” by Arca

Rune hides a lot behind ambition and self-control, but that song is basically him in audio form. Anxiety, self-pressure, feeling adrift... his mushroom trip is like a literal storm of everything he's been bottling up.

Jørgen-"Isobel” by Björk

Jørgen's punk/lit/activist mix screams "Isobel". He's independent, expressive, trying to balance his true self with the outside world. Rebellious but vulnerable, kind of like he's living his own art piece.

Lake-“Big Yellow Taxi” by Joni Mitchell

Lake's fun and lively, the guy who lights up a room. But underneath, there's that "Big Yellow Taxi" vibe the reminder that good times (or people) don't last forever. He's joyful, but you notice the fleeting edge if you look closely.

Mikko-“The Road Not Taken” by Robert Frost

Mikko is the “what if?” guy-Arvo's childhood friend who reminds him of home and the life he could have had. That Frost poem nails it: paths diverging, choices shaping who we are.

Klaus- idk what to say about this creepy cat

Torulf-“Invictus” by Henley

Torulf is strong, proud, unyielding. Henley's poem sums him up: “I am the master of my fate.” But that toughness hides the fact he often carries stuff alone. Solid, dependable, with a quiet weight.

Devon-"Stroszek" by Werner Herzog

Devon left the U.S. because it wasn't safe for him as a queer person. Moving to Norway gave him freedom, but it's that quiet, bittersweet kind-ike Srroszek, surviving, resilient, a little melancholy, but steady. He's calm and strong, but you can feel everything he left behind.

So, we know that Bjørn and Arvo watch Night on the Galactic Railroad together, and it’s hard not to notice the parallels with the movie’s characters. Personally, I think Bjørn is 100% Giovanni.

Arvo, then, naturally takes on the role of Campanella. He’s the supportive, grounding presence, guiding Bjørn through his emotional landscape simply by being there. Their dynamic perfectly mirrors Giovanni and Campanella’s bond: one reflective and searching, the other warm, attentive, and steadfast. Watching the movie together isn’t just a casual moment it’s symbolic of their shared journey, companionship, and the comfort of having someone by your side while facing life’s uncertainties.

One of the clearest parallels between the anime and the VN is Bjørn’s dream in which he is on a train. Just like Giovanni, he finds himself in a quiet, surreal journey that feels both dreamlike and symbolic. The train represents a transitional space between past and future, solitude and connection mirroring Bjørn’s own inner journey of self-discovery and reflection.

Arvo, who accompanies him in real life, echoes Campanella’s role: a comforting, supportive presence that helps him navigate this emotional and existential landscape. Even small moments, like watching Night on the Galactic Railroad together, reinforce this parallel the VN turns the anime’s themes of companionship, introspection, and fleeting moments into an intimate, lived experience between Bjørn and Arvo.

I see what you mean about Cyrus’ empathy toward Lance being complicated, especially given the betrayal and lingering pain. But even in that context, Cyrus does demonstrate empathy, and it shows in subtle, consistent ways. He observes Lance without immediate judgment, considers his perspective, and tempers his reactions-he doesn’t lash out or act purely on hurt. After regaining his memories, his comment to Aaron about Current/Resoom shows he’s processing the past thoughtfully, not simply reacting emotionally.

Empathy isn’t always about instant forgiveness; it can also mean restraint, understanding, and emotional awareness. Even toward Lance, the seeds of empathy are there, tempered by the lingering pain of betrayal. So yes, it may take time for full reconciliation, but the VN clearly portrays Cyrus as empathetic by nature, capable of understanding, patience, and care-even when it’s difficult.

I think Lance can and deserves forgiveness, but that doesn’t mean he should be allowed back into the circle of those he has hurt. His betrayal wasn’t limited to Cyrus,he sold Xavier to Resoom too and in doing so, he shattered the trust of all his friends. Trust isn’t something that can simply be patched over with words, and the fact that he repeated similar actions after being discovered only proves that his reliability is questionable. Forgiveness here is about recognizing human flaws and mistakes, not about excusing behavior or inviting someone back into intimate bonds. Cyrus and anyone else affected can forgive him morally, acknowledge that he is capable of regret, but still keep a boundary in place. Forgiveness does not erase consequences, and in Lance’s case, the consequences of his actions are too serious to allow a resumption of friendship or close communication.

Actually, Cyrus does show empathy both canonically and consistently. With Axel, he notices his silences, respects his boundaries, and adjusts his behavior to avoid adding stress, showing emotional awareness and care. With Silver, despite him being an assassin with a difficult personality, Cyrus treats him respectfully, acknowledges his efforts, and interacts without hostility. On top of that, Cyrus often suppresses his own feelings to avoid burdening others, which shows emotional maturity and consideration. His empathy isn’t performative; it’s quiet, careful, and affects how he strengthens bonds and supports those around him. Saying he lacks empathy ignores these clear examples from the VN.

SPOILER:

.

"Remember The Flowers" isn’t just a story about healing-it’s about the tangled mess of love, loyalty, and choice. Cyrus is fragile, wounded, and trying to find footing in a world that’s already broken him. Every relationship he steps into carries weight.

Cooper is the calm harbor: steady, protective, patient. He offers the safety Cyrus craves and a space to breathe. But safety alone can’t answer the bigger question: who is Cyrus beyond the trauma? Cooper is grounding, yes, but he might never push him to fully live.

Axel is fire and shadow. Loving him is a risk-his past with Xavier lingers, unresolved and potentially alive. That thread makes every choice uncertain. Could Axel truly belong to Cyrus if Xavier returns? Could Cyrus bear being second to a ghost, or would he sacrifice himself for Axel's happiness with Xavier? The story leaves this open, letting the tension between hope and heartbreak pulse through every scene. Axel challenges Cyrus to confront himself, but that challenge comes with pain.

The possible paths here are human in the extreme: Cyrus could step aside for Axel's sake, risking his own happiness; he could cling to Axel and hope the past doesn’t return; he could find quiet healing with Cooper, stable but less transformative; or he could walk alone for a time, learning self-worth on his own. Each path is neither wrong nor easy-they all feel real because the stakes are real, the emotions raw.

What makes "Remember The Flowers" linger is that it trusts its characters to be messy, flawed, and beautiful. Love is not clean, healing is not linear, and choices are rarely just about what’s safe-they’re about courage, sacrifice, and the fragile hope of being truly seen.

Axel feels like the "perfect" candidate for Cyrus-not because he’s safe, but because he meets him where he is and challenges him to grow. He understands brokenness; he’s walked through fire himself. That shared trauma creates a bond that isn’t just comforting-it’s transformative. With AxelCyrus isn’t just protected, he’s seen fully, and he can see himself reflected in someone else who has survived their own darkness. That kind of connection can ignite growth, trust, and real intimacy in a way that safety alone-like what Cooper offers-cannot.

But the road is far from smooth. Axel's past with Xavier hangs over him like a stormcloud: unresolved feelings, potential return, the ghost of a love that could resurface at any moment. Cyrus is fragile, and the emotional intensity Axel brings could overwhelm him before he’s ready. There’s also the risk that Cyrus might feel like a replacement rather than a partner, or that self-sacrifice could creep in, tempting him to step back for Axel's happiness. The relationship demands courage, patience, and honesty from both sides-and even then, the path is jagged, uncertain, and emotionally charged.

Axel is, hands down, the partner who fits Cyrus best-not because he’s safe, but because he "sees" him. They share scars, they share fire, and in that chaos there’s understanding, growth, and a love that challenges and transforms. Axel doesn’t shelter Cyrus; he meets him fully, and asks him to meet himself.

The catch is real: Xavier's shadow looms, old wounds linger, and Cyrus is still fragile. Loving Axel isn’t easy-it’s intense, risky, and sometimes raw to the point of pain. But that intensity is exactly why it works. Their connection is alive, human, and messy, the kind of bond that can make Cyrus whole… if they survive the storms together.

Axel is the fire to Cyrus's quiet shadow. He sees the parts of Cyrus no one else does-the broken, the fragile, the scared-and he doesn’t flinch. Their bond isn’t safe; it’s raw, alive, and full of tremors that make the heart ache. With AxelCyrus isn’t just protected-he’s "recognized", and in that recognition, he can start to become whole.

But love with Axel isn’t a gentle path. Xavier's ghost still lingers, old scars have not fully healed, and every step forward carries the risk of pain. Cyrus could falter, fear being second, or be tempted to step back for Axel's happiness. Yet that risk is what makes their connection so human. It’s messy, it’s intense, it’s trembling on the edge-and it’s real. Loving Axel is not easy, but it’s a love that can change Cyrus, if they survive the storms together.

In short, Axel is the partner who can make Cyrus "whole", but only if they navigate the past, the trauma, and the intensity together. It’s not easy, and it may not be smooth-but it’s real, alive, and profoundly human.

I’m sorry for repeating myself earlier. I was trying to gather all my thoughts and feelings into one piece, and it ended up a bit tangled. Thank you for being patient with me I hope what I’ve written now better shares the emotions and ideas I wanted to convey.

Your theory, is both beautiful and quietly heart-wrenching.

The eagle is a creature full of meaning. In Finland, it stands for strength, freedom, and the bridge between the earthly and the divine. In Norway, its spirit speaks differently. It can be a guide of inspiration and potential, a keeper of vision and perspective, yet still a symbol of freedom and strength. These meanings cross paths, yet each carries its own quiet, weighty depth.

If we cannot name the eagle in Arvo’s photograph, then all of these symbols could reflect him.

But if it is the White-Tailed Eagle, guardian of nature and emblem of spiritual connection, then perhaps Arvo is searching for something true and profound in his relationships. Since this eagle is the main species in both Finland and Norway, the connection feels natural and predestined.

Saturn, too, carries its own significance. It rules over time, the turning of cycles, renewal, and the slow yet certain path to liberation. Its number is 8, a loop without beginning or end, an endless path of discipline, perseverance, and responsibility.

In this VN, Arvo weaves these same threads. He is steadfast in friendship, attentive in conversation, sensitive to the hearts of others, and willing to bear any burden to help. On Bjørn’s route, this is clear. No matter how heavy Bjørn’s heart becomes, Arvo remains, calm, supportive, quietly wishing him all the best. He is a presence as eternal as number 8-quiet, steady, and endless.

To be 100% honest with myself:

I do not want the whole story to be just a memory. I do not want to think that something happened, that for some reason they quarreled, that there was a reason for leaving.

Thanks for sharing your story.

I truly understand how you feel, yet I still find it hard to change anything within myself. I keep hoping that one day this will just be a passing chapter, not a permanent part of me.

Thank you for listening to me. I really needed that.

I hope you have a wonderful morning, day, or evening, wherever you are!

Thank you for understanding and for giving such kind advice. I am someone with deep sensitivity, and every emotion feels both like the first time I have ever felt it and the last time I ever will.

In my past, I had a friend who was very close to me, or at least I believed so. I hope he felt the same. But one day he simply stopped replying to my messages. Every attempt I made to reach him was met with silence. Day by day he drifted further away. I searched for an answer to why, but I never found one.

And yet, even as I write this, I know that somewhere ahead, though I cannot see it now, there may be someone who will stay. And perhaps, just perhaps, the part of me that still dares to hope is the part that will save me.

oh god i need more Bjørn, he's so cute and sweet...

Please can anyone tell me something about Mikko route is that really so sad?  cause i seen some videos about it,and everyone looks so sad and broke and i don't wanna feel bad after i read it. Srry ik that it is better to feel it yourself, but after Bjørn day 4 I can’t start reading another story cause I am very attached to him, and it’s hard for me to just stop thinking about what will happen next, how his story will turn out, whether everything will be fine...
