Cool stuff! Horrible font on this page though, barely readable.

Sometimes I can just walk through the blue lasers. During the first boss, I walked right beyond the screen and it broke the music. And I entered the green door in the 2nd level without collecting all the diskettes.

The collected colored diskettes persist after death, but not the green circuit thingies. Is that intended?

The health machine stole my cash because I moved slightly >:(

Respawning takes too long.

I had to restart the tutorial because I walked left before learning how to jump. (That one is a joke)

During the second level I stopped being able to collect the green circuits. Is 36 supposed to be the limit? If so, it could be better communicated.

Conveyor belts are super janky.

There was a ladder that appeared in front of the character.

The smiley face thing was creepy. Good job! Wasn’t expecting that, that was some fun visual storytelling.

I didn’t finish it but I had fun.

Neat! But it’s a bit of a shame you can’t combine position/rotation with scale shakes on the same axes. Worth investigating IMO, or at least documenting. Nice API though, worth a buck!

Edit: dev just dropped an update which fixes my complaint.

I assume it’s a windows build? Any plan for a linux build?

Le fourth sun, vraiment, y a quelque chose qui va pas. Je vois que trois candidats plausibles. Est-ce que old fashioned et runny nose sont des traits impolis? Est-ce que la présence d’un seul trait négatif le rend invalide, ou les positifs peuvent équilibrer? Est-ce que le lézard est vert? Ça me semble un cas ou il faut deviner la sorte de marijuana que le designer a fumé (ça devait être une très bonne sorte, car la vibe du jeu est incroyable!).

Neato! I wish you could tell which fuzzy’s next and also that there were more of a visual cue when you trigger a switch, but it’s a fun little concept that kept me playing to the end!

I like how the thing is friendly at first. Makes it all the more creepy when it starts hunting you. Great art, great atmosphere, well done!

I got to what I assume was the final boss, the big demon & (assuming you count the tutorial when you say there’s three floors), but I didn’t beat him. Then I stopped playing because I felt like I’d seen everything the combat had to offer.

Hey this is pretty sick! Found this randomly on the new releases page of roguebasin. You should post it on the roguelikes subreddit!

My feedback:

  • maybe add a marker indicating where the weapon will hit, to make it a bit easier to aim
  • besides weaving back and forth, the combat doesn’t have much depth. I’d suggest having the weapon function as a shield when not attacking. So to block you would angle yourself towards the left so that the parenthesis is between you and the enemy’s weapon. I feel this would make gank rooms more fair.
  • maybe change the name? It’s pretty terrible at conveying what the game is. It’s neither infinite, nor has any connection with nethack (the “hack” part of the name is why I even clicked on your game in the first place). Don’t have a good idea tough, maybe something dumb and easy like Super Slasher, or IncanDescent (like it’s super hot but also you descend lol), or maybe Time Attack, or The Hourglass Dungeon.

I’d love to see more of this prototype!
