If you're sitting on the fence about giving this game a shot just be impaled on it and die already! Then once you respawnorwhatever-TRY THIS GAME. It's fun! Weird difficult fun!

I'm going to level with you. It's hard to tell a friend about. I told a buddy of mine I picked up a game where you attack people with your tail, eat everything from cigarette butts and dead rats to goulash and literally any other food you can find, and try to reach a target sometimes having to kill everyone in the building while you do so.

"So you're playing a gator?"

"...yes you play an alligator wearing fishnets."

IF THAT WERE THE CASE IT WOULD STILL SLAP. The graphics are nostalgically charming low poly, the dialogue is fun and humorous, the setting is...bizarre, but bizarre in a way that compels you to explore every cranny of it! You're a weird bug in a weird world where people are ready to kill you with swords and hatchets to flintlock pistols packed with nails. Some people complain about the inventory system but if you saw half the outfits Fennel wears you should be grateful to have pockets at all.

You're going to die a lot, but trust me the gameplay loop is solid. SOLID. When you die it's not simply a bummer, it's EDUCATIONAL and often VERY FUNNY. There is nothing better than (somehow) taking down a room full of people Batman style only to realize some schlub you forgot picking their ear in the corner has now remembered to shoot you in the face.

I didn't give this game enough credit at first. It's got a surprising amount of charm and density to it if you stop and Check out all the nooks and crannies. Talk to people, experiment, screw around! The takedowns aren't even random for crying out loud they vary depending on your angle of attack!

So take it from me, a perfect stranger on the internet and TAKE A CHANCE ON THIS!
