Fantastic atmosphere! It's short but really well done (graphics, mechanics, sfx, music). Should be extended to become an escape room game ;)

What a wonderful game! I've finished the demo, but I'm pretty sure that I've missed some spots that I could unlock with the runes. Time to go for a 2nd playthrough :)

The mix of steampunk and dark fantasy works pretty well, and one can notice some hints of Dark Souls (the places to rest) and Thief, but it's really its own thing because of metroidvania powerups and fluid combat, which is already great for a demo!

Maybe the AI of some enemies (zombies) could be a little better (pathfinding), but no complaints from here; maybe it's by design.

I hope you can make this available for Early Access on Steam soon!

Thanks for your reply!

I've already put some games of yours on my backlog, so thank you for your suggestions! :)

It's like a John Carpenter movie - with good "jankiness" included -, with a synth soundtrack to rock! Punchy weapons with great audio feedback. The streets were harder to navigate, but that extra danger was needed for the story, and the boss battles were balanced (not spongy, not to much easy too). Can't wait for a full version (and go to the church!). 10/10

Just finished the game — what an achievement! It feels like a 10/10 shooter from around 2004, and yet it was made by a solo developer. Great pacing, level design, lots of different set pieces to change the gameplay from time to time, no crashes at all, and it's a very gorgeous game to look at!

I'll be here for version 1.1 and real voice acting!

Hi!

If you enjoy retro/boomer shooters, arena shooters, immersive sims, or other FPS, FPP (first-person perspective) games, feel free to follow my page with 150+ recommendations — no horror/AI/asset-flip slop included:

I’d also love to discover other pages that focus on specific genres, such as racing, action, RPG, etc.

Itch.io’s catalog is massive, and finding the real hidden gems can be surprisingly difficult.

Cheers!

Quake may inspire it, but it has its own distinct, surreal, dread-filled vibe - for that alone, great job! It just needed a couple more levels and some fine-tuning of the gameplay, but the demo already shows its potential.

After finishing the game for the first time, I picked up the Steam version to chase all the achievements!

The nautical, Lovecraftian atmosphere is excellent—strong level design, marine-themed assets, and subtle background sound effects really sell the mood. Not including music was a great call; it significantly boosts immersion. I'd like to see an expansion of this!

I’ve just finished Chapter 1, and so far this is fantastic! The graphics and level design are excellent, but so are the writing and the pacing. It’s very, very polished for a 1.0 release, and I’m excited to see the rest of the game!

Great shooter! Of course, very much influenced by Dusk, but a solid shooter nonetheless, with a great surprise weapon at the end of level two!

Loved the atmosphere, gameplay, and the different areas of the map; could have more secrets!

I’ve just finished the first level of the game and —oh boy— this is great! It feels like a mix of Quake and Doom with a great-looking PSX-style coating; the soundtrack is excellent too. And the dark maze at M2 reminded me of Doom's E1M4 *chef kiss*.

One question: does it have a button to run? Missed the armour vest at the very end of M1, because I can't run+jump (skill issue maybe?).

Edit: great upgrade from Ravager, which I also liked a lot!

I've just finished the demo, awesome work! Great music and atmosphere, and the controls are smooth.

Feedback for latest demo:

1. Nice, cozy lobby at the start!

2. No forced jumpscare at the uni (thanks!)

3. No invincible white helmet guys on lvl3

Going great!

The foundations were already solid for an alpha: the gameplay, while rough, delivers engaging combat, and the atmosphere successfully sells the immersive sim feel, even if the mechanics aren’t there (yet?). Good job!

Best trippy game since SuperHot!

Amazing Quake-like FPS! And I still haven't found all the secrets ;)

Amazing demo! Fluid gameplay, punchy weapons, and loved the colorful metroidvania map and that 90's OST - check the beat! - hmm, *chef kiss*! -- About the powerups, I think it should be clearer that one powerup might replace other that your currently have - such as, replacing dash boots with jump boots, or vice verse.

Great job, see you in the full release!

I usually don’t play horror games, but the trailer intrigued me, and I’m glad I gave it a chance — it’s one of the best games I’ve played this year, even compared to other indie or AA titles. Excellent storytelling and incredible attention to detail, down to every nut and bolt of the boat.

I'd love to return to this universe that you've built!

Great demo with room to grow. I like the Goldeneye 007 aim and the feedback from the weapons, but the invincible enemies in the last level were confusing.

Great showcase of portal tech — I haven’t seen anything like this since the first Prey! Yes, the enemy AI is a little buggy, and the game crashed once (near the first lever), but I still had a great time with this game and The Lunar Stowaway. Hope to see more in the future!

Thanks for the gift!

Congratulations on the release! Can't wait to get the DLC on Steam!

Great game for Christmas Eve!

Great game! Will repeat to finish some secrets ;)

Short but so well done!

is this related to https://jwin.itch.io/mining-station-theta ?

this!

Great upgrade from Station 141! Combat is better, endless rooms, and killer music, thumbs up!

very well written, indeed!

I agree with this; it's a good game, but a little on the hard side (more ammo and health would be great).

Such an unnerving little game—gah! It feels like watching a Polaroid develop while expecting a monster to appear at any second. Will try the full game on Steam, good job ;)

Fantastic trailer! You got my attention, even if I don't like horror games that much. *deep breath* Let's go!

Great game/visual novel! The graphics are on point, and I like the contrast of blue and golden tones. Also, the story is very well written - just a few notes set the tone perfectly.

SPOILER It seems so. I guess that he went through the loop 419 times (as shown at the end) and left puzzle solutions in his notes for his future self.

Great start for a demo! I'd like to see more levels of it :)

Very good demo!

I've never played Goldeneye 64, so I don't know it that game had the same aim design, but it felt great and more tactical! Oh, and that twist! *chef kiss*

Still banging in 2025! Great old-school campaign, with all weapons being punchy and useful, just like in the old times - and with a killer soundtrack. With so many retro boomer shooters out there nowadays, this could be released today and still hit hard - this style is timeless!

If you like SS1 so much (no surprise!), you should play some immersive sims on my recommendation list, such as the "Kepler experiment" (more like SS2) and the "Abyss of the Void" (more like SS1, minus the cyberspace section).

AN SS1-like game with the thetakill as a "mini-game" would be fantastic!

Hope you CAN make an extended version of thetakill one day, but I'll replay this again.
