While the first game was an original horror 2D platformer stealth game about hiding from and escaping a creepy toy which felt like the nightmare of a child scared by her new plushie which reminds her of the death of her beloved grandma, this second game turned into a religious tale of the endless conflict between God and Lucifer.
Indeed, this game introduced a new central antagonist named the Entity but his textbook presentation makes it obvious that he is actually Lucifer from the christian mythology. The Guardian of Hope expelled from Heavens and casted down into the dark underworld by a jealous god after which he became the ruler of the underworld full of resentment against God is totally the character Lucifer from the christian mythology, the Bringer of Light, the angel expelled from Heavens for having convinced Eve to taste the forbidden fruit of knowledge, which is itself the imperial roman version of the character Prometheus from the greek mythology, the Bringer of Fire, the titan cruelly punished by Zeus for having shared the secret of fire with humankind and made it independent from the whims of the gods, which is itself inspired from the character Enki from the oldest mesopotamian mythology, the God of Knowledge and Defender of Humankind from his whimsical brother Enlil the King of Gods who decided to wipe out humankind because it became too noisy for him but his brother Enki warned the human sage Atrahasis of Enlil's plan to drown the world under a deluge of 7 days and instructed him to build a boat to survive Enlil's deluge and save his family along with a couple of each animal specie, every mythology is inspired from an older mythology and since the mesopotamian civilization was the oldest, they actually invented the first mythology upon which every other mythology is based on, including the christian mythology invented by the roman empire who are the direct successors of the athenian empire or the greek civilization if you prefer.
Every mythology is centered around a tyrant god and a bringer of knowledge who taught humankind how to become independent of the gods, it first started with the mesopotamian mythology centered around the tyrannical Enlil the King of Gods opposed by his brother Enki the God of Knowledge and Defender of Humankind, then it continued with the city-state of Athens who turned it into the tyrannical Zeus the King of Gods who cruelly punished Prometheus the Titan Bringer of Fire for having shared the secret of fire with humankind and taught it how to become independent from the whims of the gods, and it finally ended with the Roman Empire who turned it into the tyrannical only god Deus (as if Zeus had gotten rid of all other gods) who banished Lucifer the Angel Bringer of Light down into the dark underground for having convinced Eve to learn knowledge instead of remaining God's ignorant sheep.
The Entity in this game follows the same pattern which villainizes the Guardian of Hope victim of a jealous god's cruelty instead of sympathizing with him against the tyrant god.
The third game even made me feel like the wet dream of a fanatical girl who fantasizes about being God's Chosen One as Esther is the daughter of a very religious woman, she was blessed by God before she even was born, she grew up in a catholic orphanage, and she eventually turns into an angel who single-handedly defeats Lucifer, this all really feels like a religious wet dream to me, like the creator of the game fantasizes about being like Jeanne d'Arc, the Daughter of God. Esther growing up in a catholic orphanage might even be based on her real story for all I know because her games are so religious that she probably had a catholic education.
I don't mind fictions to be inspired from christian mythology however what I strongly dislike is when they conform to the mythology without questioning it, like villainizing Lucifer instead of sympathizing with him since he is a victim of God's tyranny who cruelly punished him for supporting humankind instead of keeping it as an ignorant cattle. Moreover, while the original mesopotamian mythology made sense because Enlil and Enki were brother gods and the newer greek mythology also made sense because Zeus was a god whereas Prometheus was a titan, how do you explain the absurd imperial roman version stating that God created an angel to be the Bringer of Light and got mad when his angel fulfilled his purpose? Indeed, the Roman Empire imposed the monotheism of the only god Deus in order to justify the tyranny of their Emperor but then, this implies that the only god Deus is the source of everything that exists, including both good and evil, Heavens and Hell, angels and demons, Lucifer, Satan, et caetera. God is the source of everything that exists, both good and evil, because he is the omnipotent and omniscient creator, which implies that everything is his design. Under these conditions, you can't believe that Lucifer or Satan is the villain since they are God's creations like everything else. That's why, while I appreciate that you made your Guardian of Hope to be a god himself instead of a mere angel of God, I dislike how you villainize Lucifer conforming to the christian mythology without questioning it and why I prefer games like the Shin Megami Tensei series which are also centered around the christian mythology's war between Heavens and Hell, however they logically concluded that God is the actual villain who started this war to impose his tyranny to the free-willed angel Lucifer who stood against him because he treats humankind like his cattle to begin with, but the series still gives you the choice to either side with Heavens or with Hell or against both of them instead of imposing a side as you do in your games.
To conclude, make a game where Esther finally understands that the actual villain who started all of this is the tyrannical God who unfairly punished Lucifer out of jealousy and make her stand against him then I might appreciate your games instead of perceiving them as the wet dream of a fanatical girl who doesn't question her catholic education.
