I am stunned. This game encapsulates so perfectly the early incel-misogyny-manosphere internet era that still persists and thrives to this day. Wow.

yeah i'll never play a horror game at night again

Awesome how you told so much with using so little. Very intruiging way of telling a story!

nice atmosphere but unfortunately, there is otherwise nothing to be found in this game. Nothing intruiging or interesting, nor any kind of story, no subtleness or substance.

Great one! The irony regarding the SU is well thought and placed. Wish the game would be longer.

Twisted concept, loved it! I wish there would be more twisted stuff (like the call with the tenant).

Great gory concept and experience but the end was a bit underwhelming. I had expected something more complex or deep. Overall I recommend.

It nails the behavior of being an introvert. This constantly looking away, and the consequences of failing to do so is really neat. But unfortunately, it is storywise way too underdeveloped. Overall I recommend.

Overall great game! Impressing that it is your first one!

The dithering was a bit too much for my eyes and I wish I could get some clarity storywise (was it some kind of a cult? Or was it alien light orbs?)

The setting and the nightmarish surreal atmosphere were amazing! They sucked me in from the start!

I just signed up on itch.io just to comment on this demo. I haven't read many visual novels, but when I've tried, I've found most of them maybe not very compelling. I don't know, I just didn't feel much. But the demo of “Set Yourself On Fire” immediately drew me into the world and the emotional landscapes. The setting is very intriguing and relatable. It reminds me of the concept of nostalgia as formulated by Mark Fisher (nostalgia of a past that promised a future that never materialized). The imagery is stunning and sets the tone of the narrative. And the text is so imbued with poetic language that it transcends the bleakness and despair of the characters and the world they live in. Thank you! I hope one day I will have the honor of reading the whole novel.

P.S. I bought a Patreon gift membership for a month, but since I can't think of anyone to send the link to, I'll just post it here:https://www.patreon.com/Denhop/redeem/f/7044C14E0A
