absolutely! going to break this down into hints/steps. have you gotten the note about the clocks? check all the clocks and write down the times. the hour is the order, the minutes are the digits. you’ll know it’s right when the first 3 digits are the same as the area code Hopper says. you don’t need to put the area code into the key pad, he’s “done it for you” (I had a limited length to work with, I’m sorry)
Yes, I’ve been playing around with the sound length, however no matter how short I’ve made it, it still sounds… wrong. What is the length of the sound you used? I’m asking so that I can troubleshoot the issue better, as maybe the issue I’m facing isn’t related to the length after all and is due to something else.
Hi! These are absolutely fantastic, I am using them in my games (currently unpublished), and I made a few matching bubbles (lightbulb, music note, etc). I was wondering if you would like the file of my additions to offer along with you original, excellent balloons? I know its an odd offer, feel free to ignore.
Thank you so much for taking the time to play my game! Revamping the controls is definitely on my list of priority fixes, as is collision errors and the piano bug. I'm about to go through all the expressions in the prologue and chapter one, so I should be able to find the errant expression. I'll try and figure out the menu based visual bug, I haven't encountered that one myself. I'm not sure how to remove the command remember or auto run options, but I'll try and figure that out. I have been considering making Rosemary's walking speed a touch faster. Thank you so much for your feedback!
Thank you for your feedback! It is a horror game, but its a horror that builds as the story goes on. Perhaps it would be more accurate to call it a story or puzzle game, but I feel not categorizing it as a horror game would be misleading as to the type of content you'll encounter.
As for the "out of place" objects, thank you for noting that. All of the world assets are downloaded from various tilesets here on itch.io, and going through and style matching all the objects isn't high priority at the moment, but hearing that it is noticeable is good to know. If you remember where you found some collision errors (such as being able to walk on walls) it would be much appreciated if you could let me know where those occurred.
Mama referring to Rosemary's other mom as "Your mommy" is based on the language my parents used to refer to each other, but I will make note of your confusion to see if its a common note. Rosemary is 8 years old, but she has a lisp/speech impediment that is notable with certain consonants. Thank you for letting me know you were confused on her age, I will keep that in mind!
You're right about the controls not being communicated well. I will add a control prompt at the start of the game in the next update. I'm sorry you got frustrated with the items and where to use them, but as figuring out where to use things is an integral part of the game I do not see myself significantly changing the descriptions.
Similar to the item usage, the fourth wall breaking is intentional. It is interesting that you interpreted it as the player speaking to the character, thank you for sharing that observation.
Thank you so much for giving Frey Nel a try, and thank you for sharing your insights and feedback!
Hi there, this was a really fun idle game! I've never been much for idle games, but the aquarium theming made it the perfect fit for me. The sound was perfect and unobtrusive, and the art was charming. There were a lot of options for upgrades and such which was a little overwhelming, but eventually i figured out how to use all of that stuff. The sheer amount of clicking needed to feed your fish was a bit hard on my wrist, it might be nice for accessibility to have feeders you can stock? Otherwise, it's a lovely game.
