i recall there being wine spawns when a new master shows up. i imagine this could be a gift from dyonisius he sneaks in from time to time.

chapter 20 has been cooking for so long. i'm very curious what y'all have planned for it. i remember the gargantuan build 0.5 spanning 5 chapters, plus hotel managements, plus side characters introduction chapters, plus the hinterlands, plus the ruthless route. just how big is chapter 20 going to be?
personally, i don't really mind if the art style must be entirely revamped for the sake of congruency. i've seen that happen before. i do, however, think that nanoff's legacy should remain somewhere in game. either as accessible rewards from fulfilling achievements or maybe a speedrunner route exclusive alternate art. it's supposed to be a joke route anyway, we could write off lacking pieces of art nanoff couldn't get to required for the rest of the game as saving frames or skips.
maybe not the best solution, but just to throw some ideas around. any approach to this is going to offer it's own set of challenges.
it's all 1s and 0s. kindly grow a spine, and either just bite the bullet or give up on it.
story telling isn't supposed to make you feel like "the good guy". it's supposed to allow people to experience and explore things in a safely manner, and sometimes it tackles on difficult topics, because doing that is what makes you grow as a person. there's no need to modify the route.
i remember from watching noragami, that gods could do bad things but if humans were to do the exact same thing, the guilt would cause some kind of corruption or something like that. i thought it's an interesting perspective, that gods don't need to abide to the rules and they are not wrong if they don't. but gods require the worship of humans to be able to exist and have power. of course, this is all made up lore, but still an entertaining perspective to look at divinity and morality as a concept.
about the ichor thing. it's effectively poison, i just thought it was important to mention what it really is and what it could mean in the context of the lore.
as for the argos thing, it really wasn't the cause of the modern acts of violence against asterion because there weren't modern acts of violence against him. he was a slave and a servant but he wasn't punished by the masters anymore. the little disaster with clement was the only thing, probably caused by athena through some trickery. the only thing bad to happen to asterion in modern times was being locked up in that room we found him for 80 years, feeling miserable for what happened to all the guests of the hotel. remember that we can't ignore the core rules of the labyrinth. what hermes managed to do there was to mitigate damage, but the roles that the labyrinth forces to happen still have to be enacted. even now, as kindly as mc treats asterion, he still is a slave and a servant, not from anything that mc does to him, just from the magic of the realm.
good. sorry if that sounds mean, it just annoys me a bit that so many people are like "i would never hurt my moo", but still want to know what happens. that's not even what the route is about. learn to dissociate if you must, but please get through it. i promise the route is good to read, and is packed with extra lore you don't see in the main route as of yet.
a few things. the end you get isn't based of how any times you send asterion out. there's 2 choices in the ruthless route
so for example, in the choice of 2 options, one gives you endings A, B or C, depending on what you choose on the three options choice, and the other gives you ending D regardless of what you choose the triple choice.
the elixir isn't poison, it's ichor, the blood of immortals. it's toxic for humans, but harmless to gods.
and lastly, what makes you think hermes could do anything? the gods don't have free will the same way we do, plus they are bound by magic to not interfere in the hotel. else we'd be having open war right there. trust that greek gods do not care for familial bonds that much, they beef all the time.
tbf, it's not like wolf was picked to not have hangout scenes. kota and khenbish only got theirs after, themba also doesn't have one yet, and robert, technically doesn't have hangouts, he has a recruitment sequence. granted i imagine wolf will get the short end of the stick in terms of priority. mostly on how do you even write hangout scenes for a non talking animal, while also justifying it over giving development towards the husbandos?
yes, but i figured it would be akin to a polyvalent word. the word itself doesn't mean anything, but the entonations and how you express it in tells you what is the intended message. i know for a fact dogs and cats can recognize certain words the owners use. so you'd think if they had a translatable language, someone would have figured out a dogtionaire by now
i don't believe he is uncomfortable with sex. rather he has lived for such a very long time and thus is unphased by it. similar to how there's this presumptuous notion that older people would be mind blown by sexual topics when in actuality they've seen all that and more.
sure, part of the stereotyping may be due to older people being more inclined to be devoted to christianity but asterion would be even further away from that given greek mythology is all sorts of kinky
