TLDR I have absolutely no clue what was happening or why, but this scared the shnit out of me a few times especially at the end...

I'm into writing reviews on this here site, but when I came across this game and played it, part of me wants to say it's pretty bad but the other part of me that still remembers that scream it made me do says other wise.

I uploaded that video like 2 days ago, I don't really remember much from the game but I do remember being surprisingly scared a lot while playing it. This game does a great job of playing it under the radar a lot of the time, then seconds later the entire atmosphere changes to the perfect setup for a scare. At times it's even a bit goofy then BOOM, jumpscare. They are a bit loud I wish there was an in game way to turn the game down but it's cool, it's a short experience.

There is much feedback I can give on this game. I can't really think of anything that I would add or take away from this. It is definitely weird and should be played as is so you can get the shnit scare out of you too.

Anyways GGs...

For the longer review:
https://tyview.itch.io/games-ive-played-reviewed-daily-indie-horror-series

I have to be honest, I didn't read the game store page at first. I just saw a pig guy and cards on the table and I was there, so I was very surprised when it was rock, paper, scissors. I thought I wasn't going to like it but I played like 2 hours and this video is only like 20 mins so you tell me if I liked it...

I like to write review for games on this here websites, telling a bit of pros and cons from a simple guys point of view but there isn't really any cons to this game. It's even short and sweet making you more likely to make it again if you don't win the first time.

I wrote a longer review when I rated the game but the 2 things that stood out to me were the corridor at the beginning and the ability to add bullets in between rounds.

In short the brief hallway journey setups the atmosphere nicely and is just short enough to not be annoying on multiple playthroughs. It also loops back around if you happen to beat the game... which I just so happen to do XD

Also in my longer review I mentioned the "adding a bullet in between rounds" mechanic feels a bit empty. I understand it can help control start pace a bit but it honestly doesn't really make much of a difference at the end of the day. I left a longer idea there, that's a paragraph by itself lol.

Anyway this was a really good game and I'm looking forward to seeing the full release.

GG!

Ngl I wasn't expecting a lot going into this but it ended up being one of the best experiences I've had playing these kinds of game on itch. I trying to leave in depth reviews or atleast give some constructive criticism when I leave a comment, but there isn't anything to say bad about this one. It starts off subtle nothing to crazy and it keeps you pretty engaged before the scares start to happen. Most games get this part wrong but the atmosphere that you setup made me afraid to move forward and in a horror game that is amazing. This was a great experience and I hope to see more from you.

I want to be the very best that no one ever was

Honestly just straight up amazing. This is what you want to see when you see a revamp of an old school classic. From the color scheme, to the new mechanics, to the new introduced traps, to even the new character you play as everything hits the mark perfect for this one.

The only thing that I dislike about it is that I can't get on the score board.

I usually try to give a more in depth review but there isn't much to say. It's short, sweet, and easy to pick up. This is much better experienced then for me to try and break it down.

There is one downside though. I can't get on the scoreboard.

Good Job. Thanks for making this

yessssss you are actually turning this into a fuller game. I will definitely play that when it comes out.

little Review Below... but TLDR

A few great scenes one being the killer intro mixed with pretty good atmosphere makes for a decent play though but all the focus is on the killer and everything else feels like fluff when compared.

Now let me explain
The game opens with a nice sunny day driving which is a nice atmospheric starting knowing this bright sunny wheat field background compares to the night gloomy one you'll see later. What did I mean when I said everything else felt like fluff. What I mean is in comparison, No other events stand out after the fact or mattered in anyway. Which usually isn't necessarily a bad thing especially when it comes to itch games, but the killer and the appearances are so good that it makes other things look dull by comparison.

It's like this game is almost a killer showcase in how it's presented. Are you planning to add this character into you ethos like the smiling man?

I would definitely recommend playing this game. I'm actually kind of interested in seeing what the next game will be.

Great game. GG

I wrote a longer review when I rated this game but I saved you guys the several long paragraphs but if you are into that kind of thing
https://tyview.itch.io/games-ive-played-reviewed-daily-indie-horror-series/devlo...

TLDR This is a short and sweet horror game that feels a but like a life sim for the first half then finishes with a mid horror scenario.

I try to give a good amount of feedback on these games but there isn't much to say about this one, but in this case that isn't a bad thing. This game one is short and sweet so it doesn't waste much of your time to play if it was bad anyway. Then everything worked fine, I mean some weird decisions like why carry the clothes instead of using the bin, but other then that the game was solid.

If anything it was a little bland but that's not to bad overall.

80 of 100 rating
not 100 because of it being kinda of meh, but solid overall.

There is a guy above also that I commented on thanks for adding a little bit more to the comments instead of just posting a video.

I'm glad to see a little bit more input in these comment instead of just posting videos.

But if that is too long for you then. This is a styled card game made in 72 hours so it's a little janky but extremely worth the play.

What stood out to me was it being a card game in general, you guys now I love a good card game. Also having the rules be simple lent to the replabitily. I say that to say I played this game for like 2 hours trying to beat it. I never did and I couldn't tell if that was the mechanics in the later stages or not, something for certain though is this game has it's own style and I would love to see more.

I'm not going to lie I wasn't really paying the rules much attention at first so I didn't understand but when I did I really started to get into a flow. I Still couldn't quite lock in on a good strat but it seemed like over all you wanted to get stronger while trying to also stop your opponent from getting stronger in the process. Eventually one side will have so much power it should overwhelm the other side to the point that they are completely open for attack. It doesn't actually work like this though, the mechanics are pretty ganky after you get past the first round.

Two bugs stand out to me:
1. You will get mill cards in your hand even if you don't choose to add them into your hand on the previous victory reward screen.

2. You can infinity heal units using the doctor, basically making so your units can never die.

I'm a while this was made for a game jam but it was great enough that I want this to be flushed out more. It begins with get atmosphere and style with the tutorial baked into the first interaction. It's short and sweet and only shows you the basics and allow the room to be surprised when new cards come out with unique abilities.

This is a really cool card game made in 72 hours and I think would be a really fun play though if it was fully flushed out. Probably could/should put it on steam if you can get it fully made.

65 of 100 rating (72 hour gamejam)

Dev I do apologize for the bad thumbnail, I was getting short on time, my bad.

Я пишу обзоры, и мне очень понравилась эта игра. Очень надеюсь, что вы сможете сделать из неё полноценную игру, и с удовольствием поиграю в неё, а также, возможно, добавлю в Steam.

Извините за неудачное изображение.

Review Below:
But if that's to much to ask then... This game feels kind of bland and blah at first but it is a sleeper hit. There are a few weird interactions here and there especially with the bosses, but this game has that flow that carries you to complete it.

As I said above the very first thing that came to my head when I first began this game was "I kind of want to turn this off, it looks/feels a little lame". I kept playing out of respect for the dev asking me to try the game out and I'm glad I did. Not to long after I had that thought I started to get into the flow of the game and I started to lock in forgetting that I needed to talk for a video (this part I cut out). I ended up making it to the end the first time thinking it was over just to be hit with a twist boss, then a twist ever phase. I immediately rebooted and ran through again and I was excited to do so. It wasn't all good though there are a few flaws here and there like the ganky platforms, and the boss cheese spots (one location is standing in the doorways during crab boss fight). The final boss also feels pretty underwhelming but that can be changed by adding an attack as the phases change. Other then that this game feels great and I turned a 10min game into an hour of entertainment, I think that's not to bad.

I'd give this one a 80 out of 100 atm, maybe some changes can be made to the bosses a little and this will go up.

I tried to keep this comment review short and sweet like the game but I left a more in-depth review on the game and you can read it here if you want:
https://tyview.itch.io/games-ive-played-reviewed-daily-indie-horror-series/devlo...

Dev I hope this comment is ok if you'd rather I leave a longer comment lmk I'm just trying something new with how I leave comments. Thanks again for introducing this game.

But if this is all you have time for, This No-skin if it was a dungeon crawler. The sad part is it feels like a visual down grade. The happy part is that it is a No-Skin Dungeon crawler.

Review:
I scrolled past this game several times on my feedback because what I saw was just a pixelated worm. Ngl, not interested... Eventually I did a stream where I played a few random itch.io horrors and this was one of them. As soon as I started it I knew immediately this was by the creators of No-Skin. I don't know if it was the art style, the gameplay mechanics, or the familiar characters but I knew immediately.

To be honest this is a visual downgrade when compared to No-Skin. It has the same style but simpler palette, and the creatures so far are basic compared to what we saw in No-Skin. This is just a demo so who knows what's to come. (plus there was an update that added another floor as I'm typing this.

Most if not all of the characters are ones from no skin. I still wonder how this game connects with that one though. I have no clue if at all.

70 of 100 rating (for this version of the demo)

This is great, I'm sad to see the cool go but I'm excited to see what more this game has.

I tried to keep this comment shorter but I left a much longer review if you want to see if check out my profile page.
Games I've played and Reviewed

If you are reading this and the visuals brought you here then go ahead and download this, those are great but the other things.. idk

Review:
The very first thing that comes to my mind when I think back to when I played this game (yesterday) was "what happened". It almost feels like a fever dream with its delivery but at the same time it wants to be taken seriously. It wasn't really my cup of tea but I def can see the appeal.

The visuals are what stood out the most to me at first. The title and few images looked interesting and different from the slope on itch. In game they are cooler than the screenshots. Don't get me started on the angles the camera takes sometimes (look at the screenshot I got) (I mean it seems like it's the screenshot everyone is using but mine is better easily lol). Then the creatures that were created that mixed with the nematodes looked really interested. The visuals were definitely the draw.

Everything else felt a little bit under ok. Everything else as in the gameplay, story, sound, the feel/atmosphere.

Out of all of these that felt less then ok the gameplay was the best. I mean it was an on rails shooters so not much to say but having to aim at the blood to reload was a little cool.

I literally have no clue what was happening with the story, let me give it a try. Worms (nematodes) are discovered (how, why idk) and they can turn into different kind of cells, then at the end they make a humanoid. All of this is happening in an arcade and you're playing a kid that was being assaulted in the arcade. Like I don't know.

The SFX are way too loud compared to everything else (I remember turning it down but I don't remember if there were different sliders or not, if so don't mind this).

I don't know what kind of feel this game was trying to convey at all.

I come to think I might not be the audience for this kind of game but that's ok. I will say if you came for the visuals then yea give it a try, and if you came for any other reasons still give it a try it was a less then 10min gameplay just hold your expectation.

25 of 100 rating
(30 mean would play again if I had to)

You did a great job drawing people in with those visuals and I guess good on keeping them too because I was just in a state of "what.." then entire time but I never stopped playing lol.

Why did you come here? I came because of the art style and the gameplay that I saw in the showcase video. If you came for the same, then you might as well download and play before you read this.

What I Was trying to say above is the gameplay shown in the video is exactly what you get when you play this game, "well dah..." no but really there is nothing more and nothing less. There isn't anything surprising or curious about this game, but at the same time it looks and feels pretty much exactly what you would want/expect when you play this game. Let me explain...

If you saw this art style and thought it looked cool, then when you play the game if looks a bit more crisp and the camera moves more smoothly now that you are actually controlling it now instead of watching a 720p video. But after a while the blue and while semi pixel style gets a little dull because it's just 2 colors from pretty much the same perspective (even though you can turn the camera) gets a little boring. This game would really benefit from some perspective shifts even once in a while to break up that dull feeling. Like maybe when you interact with your phantom memory it shifts to first person, maybe the camera shakes sometimes because of lighten strikes, maybe the camera zooms in for a few seconds the first time you encounter an enemy. If it did just a bit more with the scenes in general, it would go a long way.

The story is present here but it's really in the background but at the same time that is kind of the focus of the game. Again, this isn't entirely a bad thing and let me explain the first sentence a little better. This isn't an objective in this game, your car just broke down, and you are just kind of in a mansion now (from what I remember). As you just randomly explore the mansion (it's not random there is only a certain path you can take) you come across notes and memories that unveil I guess story. I'm assuming you and this mansion is tired somehow, but that is because I'm trying to pay attention so that I can write these reviews. In reality you are just like what am I doing and why am I here the entire time, which doesn't get explained because that is what the story is trying to tell you over time. But the devs forgot that we aren't this random guy whose car broke down in front of the mansion, we are just playing a game, so you should give us incentives to play and go on. It's like that thing when you watch movies and the audience is in on something that the characters in the movie doesn't know. It's hard to make a game interesting by just mystery alone.

This review is long asf anyway...

The gameplay was something else that I wanted to try out. I personally have never played a smooth turn isometric game before. It felt just as smooth as I thought, I mean you have to change your sensitivity but that's every game. (sorry I'm about to start speeding through this it's too long) The problem I have is the only mechanic in the game is shoot your gun. They introduce a "burn corpse" mechanic, but you only get to use it on like 2 corpses while you kill like 10 to 15. So, for a 45min demo (nice btw) it gets boring a dull because of these things.

I shorten the gameplay paragraph check out my review of the game if you want to read the full thought.

In Summary, If you are into this art style and perspective it will draw you in, if you watch the video, the game plays exact like that, if that's all you want then is perfect. But there isn't anything here past the surface look and nothing here that makes me look forward for the full version, I might have stopped playing the demo if I didn't like the art and perspective so much. I recommend doing an updated demo but I'm not a dev nor a studio, so I don't know the time or funds you have on hand so good luck to you.

45 of 100 rating (For demo)

(atleast 30 means I'd play again if I had to)

Great job and I wonder what's next

no problem. I like to review these newer games on itch.io

If you found your way on this page and you happen to have scrolled down and you also happen to have like 45mins to spare on playing a horror game then stop here and download this.

I thought I read somewhere about this game being a playtest or something, but this felt like a full game to me no bugs that I saw either. If you are still here reading this then this game revolves around a hole in a ground that you must keep satisfied by throwing meat down it's abyss, if you don't well, I'll let you find out. Along the way the rooms either change a bit or just straight up scare you so you will be on your toes for a good chunk of it.

The story is easy to follow but I'm not going to lie you don't pay it much attention. There is a cult wrap around this whole hole thing, and you are the latest victim... I mean chosen one to feed this hole. While you're just doing your duty your temple gets attack by a different cult, and a bunch of cool explosions happen every once in a while, overhead which adds a cool feeling of things happening around you.

This game isn't scary at all. You are just going to play it as a casually overly cultly sim like adventure game. This played in the games favor for the first scare which made me scream like a little girl ngl, check out the first min of my video to see that. After that though there wasn't really a time where I felt scared or even uneasy.

Out of all the games I play on Itch.io it was definitely one of the better ones, not amazing but kept my attention the whole way through, left me with curious questions, as well as making it so I wouldn't mind playing through it again.

All in all great job.
(1 edit)

No problem. Thanks for checking out my comment I hope to see this as a full game soon, it's a good idea.

If this is all you see play this game now. Here's the concept creepy indoor minigolf at night, ok nice how's the execution? Sub-par at best, but this is just a concept that I played multiple times, so you tell me after you play it.

This game had me right from the beginning that wasn't a lot of menus that got in your way that wasn't a tutorial because come on its mini golf. You hit start and there you are in a dark creepy arcade, teed up, with a weird feeling like something is off. Nice first hole honestly with the leaves on the board and stuff it really setup a nice feel. That is the point I'm trying to make in this paragraph, is the feeling this game begins in the beginning. It's creepy and quiet with subtle breathing then when you see the creature you are a little disappointed.

Once you finally encounter the creature the new element of the game unlocks (there is like one or 2 other creepy things that happen before this but I'll let you discover). Now you have to be careful how you eat it or you will die, but "Ty nothings to be the golf ball just gets eaten" I hear you say, and I repeat my last line to you lol. This was another cool thing that occurs in this concept game.

I keep referring to this game as a concept because I hope the devs takes this and turns it into a more fleshed out game. I haven't made a video in months, and I came back and shnat one out because I really liked this concept and wanted to show some support for it and push for it to get some more updates.

All in all I would give this game like a 25 out of a 100 which sounds bad but this one is in the needs improvement for a reason and I want it to come up. It bumps over the 20 mark because I would play this game again no problem, it's just not a lot here atm.

Thanks again dev and thanks to anyone who read this far, I hope you all have a great day.

Closer to a 45min game. Not a bad thing but def longer then 25mins. It also takes a very long time before anything happens. Honestly you are just playing "give out candy on Halloween" Simulator. Not really worth the time sink but not a bad game just a bit dull and boring for most of it.

just trying to remember

no problem

I review these here games TLDR. This just seemed like a little project so I'll try to keep it clean, but this game can be skipped. There isn't much to it, and I don't even know if I would consider it a horror more like a thriller ig.

As I said above this game comes across as a little project that someone did and I encourage more people to sit down and try to turn out some games, but as it is, it is definitely skippable. Honestly I don't even know what to say about this game. It's not bad by any means, the controls feel a little sticky sometimes but everything flows the way it seems it should. The problem with the game is that there is much going on in scare department or even the atmosphere department. You just kind of do stuff for Noah then he spazes at the end. Umm I wouldn't even know what to say to improve it because this is a fully functioning finished product it's just kind of dull.

No offense about any of this but I give my honest opinion about the game in these reviews.

TLDR: I review games on this here site. This game is quite boring. There is a nice little setup at the end for a scare. I would consider this more on the further end of an interactive visual novel. I played it because of the #1 horror game scream jam. Was pretty disappointed ngl...

Now I know the TLDR is pretty pessimistic but I typed a few sentences of what I felt was the main thing I felt while playing. Before I start yapping about how bad this game is apparently, I will say I did go and look at some of the other submission and I still stand by my opinion.

Now some good. I can tell by the setup and the setting itself that the dev did put time, effort, and did care some what about the subject matter. You are actually kind of curious when you are in the first room of the bunker. Then the idea that you are searching for ghosts with and emf reader and you have to take photos of them, ok that doesn't sound too bad. Even you emphases on getting their faces sounded a bit creepy.

This game very quickly becomes boring and dull because of the amount of notes you are presented with before anything of note actually happens in game. Don't get me wrong if you were just to say how many notes are actually in the game I don't really think there are that many but you must remember every time you pick up a note you are no longer in game mentally, you are just reading a note. It's almost separate from the game itself, notes in game usually mean you are safe, or the game is paused in the background, sometimes the notes are multiple pages. All in game turning something you are involving in or apart of (as in controlling, playing, doing. Pretty much the difference between playing a game and reading a book) into just words on a screen for a bit.

Now with that being said is it bad to have notes in your game or to have your story unveiled in a written form. Absolutely Not. The problem comes when a game from the start expects the player to care about reading it's story. If someone wanted to do nothing but read then they would get a book. So when you start up a video game and are tasked with reading a bunch of notes right off the bat it kills your games momentum before it even starts. You need to have something that pulls you to read the notes, not just a vague idea that "hey you gamer there is a note, read it". Like one or 2 notes in the game actually stand out I even say that in the video, Even the notes on the wall that's much better then picking up a piece of paper that pauses the game and covers my screen completely killing any atmosphere you established.

Well why did I talk about just the notes for like 2 and a half paragraphs. Because that is pretty much all there is to this game. The camera and emf don't matter. The locations are all in rooms that you don't have to search for. you just walk about the room until the beeping stops look around a click. This game is 60% read a note and 40% taking pictures. I type multiple paragraphs for every game I do but this one is a bit long so let me talk about one good thing before I wrap this up.

The last scene is extremely predictable I even say as such at 17:31 in the video but it still wasn't too bad ngl. The build up to them coming to the door and forcing you to take a final picture was nice and the only creepy thing in this whole game.

Sorry if most of this was sour my expectations were too high when I went into this game seeing that badge and all. But also alot of games suffer from dumping all of it's story onto notes when they could have story beats like the shadows on the walls maybe one sentence on a page written really big so you don't have to pick it up and you can tell the person that was writing it was in distress at the time, see stuff like that turns your paperback book tale into an actual game. GG

ps. sorry for any typos in this.

TLDR. PLAY THIS GAME.... I like to review games on this site and man this is the best one all year. Gas station simulator mixed with Doppelgängers, on top of several creatures from who knows where. PLAY THIS GAME.

This is 2 days since I've played the game and I keep going back and watching my video because this game actually kept me engaged and wanting more the entire time. I was having a blast the entire time I played this game to the point I'm more then likely going to play the full version.

Ok with the glazing out of the way. The very first thing that you think when you play this game is that the big yellow objects are really ignoring oh and this game feels like gas station simulator. From the cleaning to the stocking of the shelves and taking care of customers, but I think I would like something like this much more because of the added horror element. It doesn't have to be horror but that gas station formula with another layer on top really works well in this game.

I would have to say though in the demo the things that would get someone to be called a dop could be easily explained away by someone changing careers or just getting a hair cut so maybe if you are going to keep it subtle like that then the diaologue should be a little sus but that wasn't the case either, the dialogue was either basically nothing or maybe sense (which maybe the first is a monster and second is normal). It didnt feel that way in the game though. Maybe the demo just didnt have that much variety. Because there was a black lady that came in but on her id she was white and she said she went through adult human puberty ok that was a little funny.

Then add the token element to which gave you an additional tiny thing you could do in your down time was great. If encouraged you to look around the map more, even though I didn't use the coins I def went looking for them.

All in all if you read this far you should have already downloaded this game and be playing it right now, what are you waiting for. Also please check out my YouTube channel, I provide these kind of explanations for every game that I play on itch.io. GG

TLDR  I played because a youtube short said something about playing as the final boss while the hero comes to slay you, cool concept. When I got here it was a story about change and setting limits on yourself and etc... I've been feeling down lately and this game might have been what I needed.

So I definitely came into this game with a different idea in mind. At times it felt a little drawn out but that might have been because I could have let myself die a few more there at the end. I wanted to stop but again something about this game came at the right time for me. It's not alot to this game and alot of the time there doesn't need to be.

This game to me was an interactive reminder to never give up especially when you have a goal. The limits you set on yourself hold you back from change, which could result in you being a better version of you. I know I'm late to the party but GG.

TLDR. This game is a nice little sit down. As the devs said it does feel like a spin on Buckshot roulette. In my experience the cpu is trying to lose so the game was stupid easy, but still enjoyable for a 5 to 10min game sess.

Ok right off the back I really like the subtle visions this game has. I will say the screenshots don't do it justice you have to play to see what I'm talking about. I also still have the background audio stuck in my head even though it's been like 2 or 3 days since I played it last

There isn't much to go in depth about in this review besides the fact that this game is stupidly easy. Like I played for over an hour and I changed the rules because of how the bot seemed to always go for death pill right off the bat. So in my gameplay I try to keep us both alive and I was able to make it to round 4 twice, maybe a round 5 is possible but I highly doubt it. I read a few comments saying that it was hard for them to win, there is a game in the comments saying he ran the first round 100 times and had to take the death pill 60 times out of 100, I guess maybe but still for me the bot most took the pill but the first round doesn't really matter anyway. Once you get items is when you really use strats.

TO DEVS....
Please make it so the cpu can't replicate your replicator because he will just keep doing it every turn. It is super annoying.

I actually told people on my discord about this game and a few a them played it and had a bit a fun and said the same thing I did that the cpu was trying to kill itself.
