Great job on these (and on the game as well)! I’m making a picross game for the gameboy too, and would love to include some of these as optional selectable BGM in the game! I know it’s CC BY 4.0 but just wanted to make sure it’s ok with you, since it would be in such a similar niche of picross games on the gameboy. 😅

Thanks for playing it on stream! The number of levels was just from me running out of time before the submission deadline, rather than due to any PICO-8 limits, but I do plan on revisiting the project after the jam is over to add more levels. Glad you enjoyed it!

Really unique gameplay mechanic where you have to really think through how many steps to take! I don’t think I’ve ever seen another game like it, definitely very cool level design.

Really unique idea! It was fun to see how many different ways the same level could be adjusted to feel unique and unpredictable each time. The only thing was that I didn’t understand the “control nothing” level, but solved it by accident somehow. I had a great time playing it though!

Cool game! Can get pretty challenging to figure out how to coordinate your loops to get them to work together with the limited time (definitely had a lot of cases where I just barely missed the time cutoff right before the checkpoint), but I thought it was executed well!

Love the concept of a rat racing game! The various enemies were entertaining too, though I realized I probably should have gone a bit slower to not aggro all the cats. Good job on the game!

Loved the art in this one, and the idea of using a clock hand to advance time was a really unique idea! I think it would be nice to have something in-game to remind you of how the items combined, without needing to refer back to the cheat-sheet in the description (though maybe discovering them on your own is part of the fun). The game was really cool though, great job!

Really cool game! I love the simplicity of the graphics, it’s a really nice visual style that makes it easy to tell what’s going on. The looping mechanic was also really creative, and makes you have to think ahead.

I did find myself wishing that the fast-forward button could go faster than the current max speed though, as I ended up drawing quite a few inefficient patterns that took a long time to complete (totally my fault though, I could’ve spent more time thinking of more efficient ways to do it).

Cool game that requires you to think through your moves multiple turns in advance. The puzzles can get surprisingly complex! Very nice matrix animation in the background as well. Good job on the game!

Really enjoyed the vibe of this game! I did wish that I could speed up the yarn pulling sometimes though, as I felt like I spent a lot of time waiting (especially if I missed a click and had to wait for another cycle). But then again, patience is is part of the crocheting process, so the deliberate slow-paced nature of it does make sense thematically.

Cute art and nice visuals in general! The planet combining mechanic was satisfying when I was able to get them to collide, though I agree with some of the other comments that it was hard to tell where your planet was going to end up. It was also fun to just spam a bunch of planets and watch them orbit around. Good job on the game!

Really enjoyed the art and humor for this one! For some reason I didn’t realize that you could leave the roulette table by walking away (I kept looking for a clickable button or an instruction on how to exit), so I got stuck there for a while and gambled away all my money. I only hope that real casinos don’t learn this trick.

Nice twist on a sokoban game! It took me a bit to realize you could walk on top of other blocks after falling on them, but that was a really cool mechanic that I don’t think I’ve seen much (if at all) in other sokobans.

Great game with amazing art!!

You were already there when I played it on stream today but here’s the timestamped video for future reference.

The movement takes some time to get used to, but I think the idea of a looping level is cool!

Unfortunately I think I encountered some bugs that made it hard to tell what was happening (the top of the screen was a bit cut off), not sure if it’s an issue with my browser or something. Really enjoyed the visuals, definitely very polished and stylish as usual! I had the same issue as one of the other comments where I didn’t understand why sometimes I couldn’t place a bone where I wanted, but I think in my case it’s just me misunderstanding the basic rules of dominoes.

I realized afterward that I totally misunderstood the how the graphs worked (for some reason I thought I just needed to stamp if the line ended going up, rather than it ending higher than it started). My fault for not reading the instructions fully… 😅 I somehow got away with doing it wrong for a few levels though, which maybe also says something about society.

I was really impressed with the graphics, really nice for a PICO-8 game! It was a bit hard to tell what was happening once you get a lot of circles on the screen, but the chaos was also satisfying in a way. Good job!

Really neat idea! It’s pretty hard, I agree with one of the other comments that it would have been nice to have a reticle to help with aiming. But the rendering is impressive!

Thanks for playing! The pause menu does have an option to reset the level, though understandably it’s a bit non-obvious (I usually don’t expect anything to be in the pause menu when I play most PICO-8 games myself).

The visuals and graphical style are amazing! I really liked the attention to detail, especially how the floating particles in the goo react to your movement. I agree with some of the other comments that the wall jump can be a bit hard to do consistently, but I had fun regardless.

For the doors and buttons, the buttons will actually open any doors on the same row/column. In the post-jam version of the game I’ll be sure to include a level to tutorialize that.
