TLDR: Stardew Valley but 3X instead of pixels plus underwater adventures.

Coral Island has tons to offer but at heart, it reminds me of Stardew Valley but in 3D. There are marriage prospects, mining, farming, decorating, getting to know the NPC's, exploring and a bad guy trying to ruin the small island vibe.

There is also diving, merpeople, a second farm, 3D characters and world, huge area to play on.

I can easily lose hundreds of hours in this game and there is replay value, what with the different marriage prospects and direction of the game you choose to go. If you like the idea of stardew but don't like the pixels, the is the game for you.

And as a fan of Stardew, this is also a game for me. 10/10, highly recommend.

I'm really, really enjoying this game. It feels like blasphemy to say, but in some areas I think it even surpasses Stardew.

Pros:
- EXCELLENT character artwork for all characters! And townies change outfits (sometimes even hairstyles) with the seasons, and they all also have a swim outfit they wear at the beach. (Mark's is my fave lol, iykyk)
- Way more townies than Stardew, also way more romance options. Most of them feel like they have a good depth to them
- You can invite romance options to hang out and have tons of choices on where to go and what to do, and you get a nice little cutscene and convo where you learn more about their character. Hangouts increase your heart level but don't seem to count as actual "dates" or anything, so it's not like you're committing to any one of them by hanging out. I haven't actually begun dating any of them yet though, so I haven't fully explored the romance aspect and so I could be wrong about this
- Townies seem more connected to each other. A lot of them are related, and it really feels like a community
- Lots of dialogue too. I think it took until late Fall or Winter (Year 1) before I started seeing any recycled lines
- Lots of adoptable pets! I believe you can have up to 3. There are foxes, bunnies, and a lizard in addition to cats and dogs
- More festivals (generally 2 per month) and festivals feel more involved and lively than Stardew--there are minigames at almost all of them
- Bug catching in addition to fishing
- Crafting pulls from your FULL INVENTORY not your pockets, no matter where you are!!! SUPER SUPER helpful!!!
- Cooking is pretty robust, you not only need the recipe and the ingredients but also the proper utensil (pot, knife, blender, etc). You can also manually combine ingredients to experiment and figure out recipes on your own. Again it pulls from your storage so you don't have to put stuff into your pockets beforehand
- Mines have four different sections of 40 levels each
- Diving!!! You can go scuba diving and clean up the ocean, and eventually you can unlock a whole new underwater farm, town, townies and romances!! The ocean map is huge, probably as big as the island
- You can add powerups to your tools in addition to the usual quality upgrade
- Lots of little nods to other video games (including Stardew and Harvest Moon) and nerd/pop culture!

Cons:
- Character models and animation kind of remind me of the Sims. Not necessarily bad, but not my favorite
- While I still greatly prefer the festivals to those in Stardew, after Year 1 they get a tad bit stale because everything is the same, same dialogue from everyone and all. So once you've experienced them once, you've experienced the whole thing. However, there's still reason to go to them after Year 1 to try winning the minigames if you didn't win first in them the previous year
- I wish you could take your pets with you on a leash or something :( Just like in Stardew, all they do is sit at your farm all day. Thankfully they can't block you from getting to your bed though lol
- Some of the translation work is a bit spotty. It's like some characters and storylines were translated/written by a native English speaker, and others were written or translated by someone with a low level of fluency
- There's no sprint button, just a quick dash that gives you about 1/2 second burst of speed, and you have to wait a second before using it again

Overall my gripes are pretty minor and I think the pros vastly outweigh them. It's a really awesome game and they're still adding major content updates! I think it's worth it!

I've only made it to fall of year 1 but so far I actually really love this game. the best way I can describe it is like Stardew Valley but much much more. There's plenty of stuff for me to do so I don't feel like I'm doing the same stuff over and over. There are also so many characters to talk to and help out. I also really enjoy the under water aspect of the game. I would definitely recommend this game to anyone who will listen.

The early access tag should still be on this game... its not released its still on major updates..... You cant play and think you can be done when you are done

stories, interactions and gameplay are still getting added.... yea its probly nice for some ppl BUT THEN DONT RELEASE THE GAME WHEN ITS NOT FINISHED?????
