Remember playing this game on either Armor Games or Kongregate reaching far but losing progress cause of the save file being wiped. But now I can say that I totally completed the game, it was a nostalgic trip playing this again. Wonder why the first one isn't available here on Steam.

This is a mobile game ported to PC. Even with an 80% discount, I do not consider it worth the price. Most aspects of the game feel outdated. Tower Defense is such a common genre with well-established design standards, it's weird they don't follow the formula. It feels like something you would only play on a phone while waiting somewhere without internet access.

The game offers very limited customization. Even the skill tree has choices that are obviously optimal, removing any real decision-making.

Main issues:
Difficulty spikes do not align with progression, with abrupt jumps that feel unjustified.
Underwater enemies force excessive spell usage, while shorter paths and smaller maps overwhelm you too quickly.
Upgrade paths are poorly communicated. I ended up using the same upgrade paths every run and still completed the game without adapting strategies.
Light expansion mechanics force a specific build order, making night levels feel scripted rather than strategic.
There are only two spells, the others are gatekeeped with pricey resources so they are rarely worth using.
Disabling enemy spawns is counterproductive, since more enemies mean more experience. The optimal approach is to ignore these advanced posts until the final wave.
Only three tower types exist, each locked to specific paths. By the end of most levels, all slots are filled anyway, and the placement grid further limits meaningful positioning choices.
Also, because you have a skill that gives you passive exp, I noticed it's always worth buying new buildings instead of upgrading the ones you have, so you'll have more time to max more buildings.

Overall, the game has no replayability, very few levels, weak visual design, and almost no meaningful customization. Only worth considering on mobile, and only at a very steep discount like 95%
