It's just an expansion basically. AKA the same game, but a little more content on release for Steam. Still not buying it because they forced epic exclusivity for so long. They didn't want my money then, they won't get it now.

Think of it as early access on Epic, I hardly ever buy early access games anyway

well if it's an upgraded build of the game with no epic launcher cancer attached I'll be checking this one out, refused to buy the original because I would have been forced to use the epic ♥♥♥♥ store.

If they add more bodies for you to use then I would be interested but it looks like you're only in some LAV body the entire time.

I do appreciate that it seems they added tracks (look closely at the "wheels" in the last two pictures on the steam storepage, they appear to be tracked instead of wheeled), that feels like an essential part of most tanks and it was weird for it to not be there

Yeah, even the website changed - I have it open for like a year (yeah I have many tabs) and just noticed the change (I do not look every day).

A shame really. I mean, all said that TankHead is cool but just a tech-demo - so they dumped it and started new with TankRAT.
Does not feel good, also without almost a word, as if TankRAT would have been their first idea and not the second try.

Still, if it is great in the end, I will take a look.

Give them a break. Steam charges Dev's more than Epic to use their platform. I don't blame them for their decisions. I am waiting for their Steam launch.

I bet they sold very little on epic cuz it's a trash store, they probably took a sum of money for exclusivity then made very little after
