Touhou Hero of Ice Fairy is out of Early Access!!!

This won't be Hero of Ice Fairy's last update, but it is the most important one. Cirno, the Hero of Ice's adventure is now complete from start to finish! A big thank you to everyone who played the Early Access versions!!

If you like our game, please help spread the word! It'll be a massive help to us!

Below are some questions we've gathered regarding the full release and updates going forward, and our answers:

Q: Do I have to buy the game again once the game is fully released?
A: Nope, if you've already purchased the game, you'll receive the new content for free on Steam.

Q: Will the game become more expensive after the full release? If it will, by how much?
A: Yes, once the game fully releases, the price will change to 6.99 USD.
(Compared to earlier versions, the full release will only cost 1 USD more as we don't want players to not be able to enjoy our game due to the price. We hope you will continue to support us! )

Q: After the full release, will there be DLC with more playable content?
A: Yup.

Q: Aside from DLC, will the game still have free updates?
A: Yes, we'll still be pushing out free updates in the future.

Q: What will the new free updates and DLC contain?
A: The free updates will contain a new gamemode and new items. The DLC will contain at least one new boss battle with new story and items to go with it.
(More details will be announced in the future! Keep your eyes peeled!)

Q: After the full release, will there still be updates to the New Supporter Pack?
A: Yes, as long as you've purchased the New Supporter Pack, you'll receive a free update once the game fully releases.
(The New Supporter Pack contains the game's OST, sketches and character artworks.)

Q: Will the New Supporter Pack's price change with the full release too?
A: No, the Supporter Pack will forever cost 1.99 USD.

Q: Will the game be on major platforms such as the Nintendo Switch?

This major update is free for everyone! All players who already own the base game (not prologue) will receive all content in this update free of charge!

This major update contains the following new content:

New Stages

The adventure continues! Following in the Hero of Ice's footsteps, we've created 3 brand new stages with distinct styles, in which you will take on powerful new bosses!

Included in this update is also a special stagewith gameplay unlike any of the stages before.

New Battles

Every journey has its obstacles! The Hero of Ice will encounter 2 new bosses. They pack a punch, and they're both popular Touhou characters. Players will need to grasp even more combat techniques to stand a chance at defeating them!

Furthermore, the player will have to go up against the game's first ever giant boss.

New Items

Prepare for battle! The Hero of Ice will obtain 2 new spell cards and 6 new items. With these new tools in your arsenal, you'll be able to better take on the new challenges!

And More...!!!

A new area in the Bunny Train the Bunny Lounge is now available.
The much-awaited feature of rebinding controller buttons is now live. You can now rebind controller buttons.
Minigames separate from the main story are now in development with a release planned for November.

New content preview for Touhou Hero of Ice Fairy is finally here!

In this video, our producer「Volzz」will personally introduce the upcoming「Major Content Update」that we have been steadily developing.

Please note this update only applies to the main game and does not include the prologue.

Since its release in February 25, our game—Touhou Hero of Ice Fairy—has managed to break 18k sales in just one month !

This comes as a big shock to us since it wildly surpassed our original expectations. Back in early 2021, I decided to make a no micro-dodging game out of spite since I was suffering from Touhou Hidden Star in Four Seasons's unique problem of not being able to properly see the bullets. I honestly never thought our game'd achieve such results two years down the line. It's thanks to everyone's continued support that we could get to this point.

Without everyone, we—and by extension Touhou Hero of Ice Fairy—wouldn't be where we are today, and for that we couldn't thank you enough!

English Version Coming Soon

Currently, we're dedicating our time to finishing the game's English version, with a release slated for April 12. If you're interested in helping us test the English version, please join our Discord server. The first round of testing will commence on the first week of April.

Furthermore, in April we'll also be releasing a feature to replay past story events as well as a mode for players who aren't great at action games, in addition to some new items and spell cards.

Fixed an issue where the player experienced abnormal control with controller.

Optimization

Adjusted the button design for starting the game in the spell card selection interface.
Now press the ESC or TAB keys (the Select and Start keys on the controller) both of them can close the pop-up window.
Now press F1 can open the teaching pop-up window, and you can see all the teaching content.
