We're coming back with another small patch that corrects more community issues and unlocks most of the players currently blocked from progressing due to a bug. Thank you for continuing to be such an awesome community and helping us polish this cozy adventure!

Crafting & Items
- Corrected an issue where the auto-fill of the pin button would sometimes cause the inventory to be seen as full.
- Corrected an issue with item selection in the grindstone station UI.

Exploration & Environment
- Corrected an issue where the Community Service job would not award you any renown
- Corrected an issue prohibiting the orders delivered through the Sneaky Postal Service from counting towards the achievement tied to the number of orders completed
- Corrected an issue that would prevent Coral from returning to her spot in the maze and giving the player a lift home.
- Removed the bush causing players to forever be stuck in the Sorrow Valley maze.
- Lessened the amount of energy drained by moving in the swamp without the cart.
- Allowed village merchants to buy more items from the player.
- Additionally, certain merchants (currently the hunter, alchemist and shipwrights merchant) will now let you buy quest items in case you were impacted by save issues

Upgrades & Quests
- Corrected an issue preventing the quest "Stop the Drought!” from being triggered
- Corrected an issue preventing the quest “Thumbs-up!” from being triggered
- Corrected issues impacting the completion of the "Entry not Granted" quest.
- For players stuck with the quest prompting them to go talk to Zosimus, the Alchemist merchant will allow you to buy the scroll you're missing to progress the quest.
- For players stuck with a locked cryptex despite the altar being solved, return to the altar at night to deposit your codex and get the scroll for free
- Corrected an issue causing certain player's renown to reset to level 1 after reaching max level.
- Corrected an issue where the "Final Stretch" quest would sometimes be triggered too early or too late, blocking some players from fully upgrading the Mage Tower
- For players impacted by this issue, visit Malima - the Snowy miner's village - to set the quest state to what it should be.
- Corrected an issue where the skills impacting the purchase price of merchant would not be taken into account.

Misc
- Polished certain UI and action sound effects

Known Issues:
- When crafting 2 or more non-stackable items with only 1 slot available, the inventory is not properly seen as full causing the minigame to progress and the player to lose the resources for all but one of the items crafted.
- Items equipped on adventurers is not being properly saved when closing the game.

Specific to Xbox/GamePass players:
- Corrected an issue preventing achievements from being triggered
- Corrected save issues that could result in blockers
- Corrected an issue causing certain players to see white prompts instead of the proper button.

First, I'd like to thank everyone who has played our blacksmith adventure. It's been a dream come true to see so many of you enjoy our game, and it's invigorated us to continue to polish the experience. You've all been amazing as a community, thank you for that!

Speaking of polishing the experience, the first hotfix patch has just been deployed live on steam for PC and SteamDeck. You'll find below a list of all the changes included in it. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has shared bug reports with us since launch. The vast majority of these fixes are for issues you've brought to our attention, and we hope you'll continue to share your experiences, reports, and thoughts on the game with us in the new year. We'll continue to keep an eye on your feedback and polish the experience based on them!

Patch Notes - Hotfix #1

Crafting & Items
• Corrected the stacking mechanic of the Assembly station to better handle large stacks going over the max quantity.
  
• Corrected the anvil minigame behavior to properly remove blocks of metal that are not connected to the outlined target shape
  
• Added the possibility to craft the mechanical heart and reduced its price
  
• Improved the visuals of the Figurehead items
  
  Exploration & Environment
  
• Added wood logs and iron ores to a chest of the Sorrow Valley to help people stuck in the maze without an axe
  
• Added the ability to switch directions while climbing a ladder
  
• Corrected an issue where leaping into a cutscene would sometimes cause the player to slide in the direction of the jump throughout the cutscene
  
• Corrected the walls of the Lighthouse to avoid the player and the tiny box clipping through them
  
• Corrected an issue where the lighthouse's steam effect would be reactivated but remain invisible when removing the valve wheel to complete the second puzzle
  
• Corrected an issue where giving the Sneaky Note to Sneaky Jeff would later cause the big bat not to attack the player.
  
• Corrected the boxes clipping through certain raised ground and not being reset when exiting and re-entering the scene
  
• Corrected an issue where the player could clip through the hole in the bottom floor of the creepy mansion.
  
• Added a way for the cactuses of the Sorrow Valley's Maze to regrow.
  
• Corrected an issue where waking up in the player village would cause the camp to not be reset
  
• Corrected an issue where camping after the swamp and passing out would return you to the home village without resetting your camp
  
• Corrected an issue where the camp would disappear when setting it up right in front of the elevator to the snowy area (marked by an arrow)
  
• Corrected an issue where the Broken Cryptex under the rock pile would not re-appear if left on the ground after destroying the rocks covering it and re-entering the area.
  
  Upgrades & Quests
  
• Modified the condition to unlock the third level of the mage tower to not create potential blockers with the potions.
  
• Corrected an issue that prevented Krush (the shipwright missing an arm) from offering his quest.
  
• Corrected an issue where leaving the wrong item in the Ruined Tower altar would cause the altar to not open when re-entering a scene
  
• Corrected an issue where repairing the Alembic too early would block the player from progressing the quest
  
  UI, Settings & Localization
  
• Corrected an issue where button prompts wouldn't be properly updated when remapping controls with certain controllers
  
• Corrected the characters' names displayed in English in the codex and dialogues when playing in Japanese.

Hello, fellow blacksmith!

We're nearly ready for you to take a swing at being Ellian's new master blacksmith in While the Iron's Hot. However, after careful consideration, we've decided to take a little extra time to add an extra layer of polish to the forge.

But the wait won't be long!

On December 5th, the forge's door will open on Steam (SteamDeck Compatible), Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and PlayStation. On day one, the game will also be available in 8 different languages: English, French, Spanish, German, Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese (Simplified), Japanese, and Ukrainian.

We'll also be extending the availability of the demo until December. So, if you haven't taken any hammer strike yet, you can do so with very limited spoilers as the demo takes you through a unique version of the story!

Thanks to all of you for your support, understanding, and patience as we work to ensure the best possible version is released across every platform.

We’d like to thank everyone who supported us by playing the demo and providing feedback. It has been super helpful in putting the finishing touches, and we’re very excited to release our blacksmith’s adventure.

Speaking of the demo, we’ve just released a new update that contains a few different QoL improvements and bug fixes. We’ll leave the demo available for free until the release date, so feel free to try the game out and share your thoughts with us on Discord!

Hello hello!

Before anything, we'd like to thank everyone who played the demo and provided feedback. It's been tremendously helpful to hear your thoughts, and we're super happy to be able to take them into account ahead of release to make the game as smooth as possible!

You'll be able to find a full list of every change included in the update, but there are three that are worth highlighting:

1. We have added the ability to pin an "assembly" recipe to the screen. This will allow you to have a reminder of which items are needed while you navigate through the different stations. It's also a good way to pin which items you need to make as part of the notice board orders.
   
2. We've separated the items codex in its own window in order to make it bigger and easier to navigate. This has also allowed us to revamp the details section of that window and include the names of each item required in a certain recipe.
   
3. We've modified the items you can create on the anvil. This should make it easier to recognize the different plates and clear up some of the confusion around certain recipes (e.g., the nails). If you have any 1x3 or 1x4 plates, they'll disappear from your inventory as they've been removed from the game.

Again, thank you so much for all the feedback and supporting the game! It's been amazing sharing with you what we've been working on, and I can't wait to continue to share more about While the Iron's Hot!

• Added a pin feature allowing you to have up to 3 recipes up on your screen. This feature only works for items that need to be assembled on the work table.

• Fixed a bug where the interaction button and the outline would stay on the character after finishing the conversation.
  
• Fixed a bug where the chicken would move onto the bandit's tile.
  
• Fixed a bug where the arrows on the Anvil UI were not responsive to the mouse clicker.
  
• Fixed a bug where opening the Codex while sitting on a bench would lock the player on the bench.
  
• Fixed a bug where items in the wardrobe could not be scrolled.
  
• Fixed a bug where you could get stuck falling from the bridge in the mine.
  
• Fixed a bug where rapidly opening and closing the Codex would make you stuck.
  
• Fixed a bug where making the 1x2 plates one at a time would not make the quest progress.
  
• Fixed a bug where rapidly moving your mouse on the codex would mess up the recipe grid.
  
• Fixed a bug where the player could move and interact with items after/before fully entering a scene.

We're super excited to announce our crafty blacksmith adventure! While the Iron's Hot is a cozy game in which you can step into the life of a blacksmith on a fantastical island.
