Most fun I've had with a horror themed rpg in a while

I absolutely love this game. I have minor gripes but everything sort of just hit for me in the best way possible. I had fun taking notes while learning about each person or creature I met while exploring the mansion and its surrounding areas. The music and sounds are great too, so check this out.

You kill everything hostile to you for ways to get more stuff and explore to find things.
You lose everything (besides permanent items and things you remember to save for future use) upon death.
Difficulty settings exist and changing them resets the map.
There are npcs that help you and there are puzzles.
The combat is a mix of stealth, rolling and attacking at the right times and there are range options as well as melee weapons.

The stealth is optional but highly recommended against stronger opponents.
Enemies do follow you through rooms unless you escape them and they do check hiding places if they see you go in one.
Enemies have their own stats and abilities and can be immune to poison for an example.
I recommend fighting them 1v1 as a new player.

The controls are simple and there is a way to use stuff faster with quick slots so you can use tools without going into your inventory, which pauses the game. This is useful if you don't want to interrupt combat.
There is a room where you can get rid of curse status by sitting on a chair. This is good if you don't want to use candles that get rid of curse, since you can sit down on that chair whenever you want.

The art style is very good, the music is good and the backgrounds and rooms are interesting.
You can change the time of day at any clock in some rooms, this makes different events happen and can change the look of rooms to explore.
Some rooms need a light source to explore, this is optional but without one, it is very dangerous as you can only see around 2 feet from your face.
