There's undeclared AI usage in this game. Art assets and such. I think a simple rule should be maybe if you use AI in your janky indie game maybe you don't charge $25 for it? AI use is supposed to reduce production costs, not save you money so you can charge like you actually put the work in so you can make more money.
If the devs take the extra $15 more than this game is actually worth and pay some real human voice actors to do the ads and DJ voiceovers, or spend the next year making this the cleanest gaming experience I've ever seen I'll happily change my review to a positive one, but given this studio's track record of AI art-heavy streamer-bait slop I'm guessing that's not going to happen.

I played for about 90 minutes and encountered like 2 different buildings over and over again.
An open space with a single telephone booth is not a unique location...

While it can be fun looting & looking for matching car parts, it would be nice to have something tell me either what's missing or be able to hover over a car & get an info thing or something, telling me something is missing. For now, not only is it hard to know what all a car needs to complete it, some of the parts are so tiny & the hit boxes to put things in place are hard to even find or notice. Sometimes, the things you pick up are so small & you have no idea what it's actually supposed to be, it will be like a little black square or tube & i'm supposed to figure out where it goes let alone trying to identify what it is? This is more like a $12 game, that may be even too much. They're demanding a price that full blown games that don't have bugs like these are asking. I still play it myself, as it can be entertaining for a bit here & there & I already paid and have progress. It's the massive amount of bugs, coupled with the price tag that makes me say I can't recommend it.

From, needing to back all the way out & be invited through steam to get teamed up most times, to your vehicles making multiples of themselves upon logging back into your last save, causing crazy framerate issues, lifting up a bin can sometimes send you flying into the air with it, the physics look crazy, no one is ever in a normal looking position, which although can be funny, it's not what it should be. Sometimes if you're in the passenger seat, with the game host driving, even though it looks normal to the driver, it will look to me, like the cars are flying all over the place, spinning & it gets nauseating. Let's not even start with the backrooms glitches. I would probably not complain, as this is an early access title, if the cost were lower. Also, before working on adding more features, I think effort to eradicate the current bugs should be the priority. For now, I would say, pass on it until more work is ironed out, or if you get a deep discount.

Alright, I played the demo for this with a few friends and we were thinking that this game might be more optimized if we got the full version. It did not.

Like yeah, all the bugs and stuff are funny at first they get old fast. The glitches are insane and there's literally nothing you can do to stop them half the time. For example, sometimes when I would get in the car or interact with something my pov would disconnect from my player model and there's no way of fixing it outside of restarting the game. Not to mention my friend sat down in a car seat and they got sent into the stratosphere and we almost lost everything.

This game is fun for the first hour or maybe two but once you get passed that it becomes the most horrendously repetitive annoying game I've played in years.

The game seemed like it would have been fun. But instead all i found was a horrible stuttering, lag, and glitches. This game is way too early at the price tag it has with the poor performance & bugs.

I have a beast of a graphics card [9070xt] and even with every graphic setting set to [potato] the game is still awful to run even tho im hitting 60fps capped it is not a smooth gameplay. I hope this turns around for this game and maybe in the future i will rebuy this game but in it's current state I cannot recommend it at all.

Fun little game, i wish they would they would add an option in the game settings to show info on the parts, like what it is an what car it goes to.

Thanks to Neebs Gaming I played the demo and am enjoying the game on it's own. Early access, naturally bugs but nothing game breaking. Hopefully sooner rather than later we can have other avatars to make ourselves look how we want but, again, early access. Keep working on the game, guys! I will be along for the ride!

Like The Long Drive but more polished. Very fun!
