How to access the experimental version

Tavern Keeper is a complex game and we are adding lots of new features and content with our major updates. While we do our best to test these features internally, there's always a chance that we overlook something. The experimental version is a way for us to make sure new features and updates are stable before releasing them to everyone and gives willing players the option to help us test upcoming features.

To be safe, we recommend you backup your save folders before trying out the experimental version!

These are the save locations for your cloud and local saves:

//Steam Cloud Save Location
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\[STEAM_USERID]\436780\remote\

//Local Save Location
C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\LocalLow\Greenheart Games\Tavern Keeper\main

Copy these folder somewhere safe so you can easily restore them if something goes wrong.

To access the experimental version, right-click on the game in your Steam library.
Go to Beta, then enter the following password: "itisexperimental".
Select 'experimental' and wait for the game to update.

Please report issues by pressing F3 in-game. Feel free to use this forum to discuss any changes in Experimental but please do not post experimental issues in the normal Bug Reports forums.
