If you somehow found this page, just do yourself a favor and pirate the game. Don't feel bad. Their current hitman is just a repacked version of this one, but they added the 7 deadly sins PLUS cosmetics. That's it. Not worth the $99.99 unless you can snatch it for $20 or less.
This game has been rebranded and repacked since 2016 brother, with no improvements in graphics or mechanics. They feel no shame in it and therefore you shouldn't if you pirate it. Their hitman deluxe edition could be worth if you spend less than $20 on it,.

It's just a single introduction mission - all other missions are sold separately, but can no longer be acquired. Instead, this was delisted and you have to get World of Assassination which has the same crappy monetization scheme.

The best maps in the entire trilogy, bar none.

While Hitman 3 (WOA) brought the fancy graphics and the Freelancer mode, Hitman 2 is where the level design truly peaked. From the neon-soaked speedway of Miami to the dense, colorful chaos of Mumbai, these maps are massive, intricate, and infinitely replayable.

Why play the standalone version?

The Lighting: Many fans (myself included) actually prefer the original lighting and color grading in this version over the "standardized" look in the WOA launcher.

The Briefcase: This is the game that brought back the briefcase, and using it here feels like the intended experience.

Ghost Mode (via community): While officially shut down, some community mods still keep the spirit of the unique multiplayer alive here.

Cons:

If you want the modern "Freelancer" roguelite mode, you won't find it here; you'll need World of Assassination.

The cutscenes are static slideshows (a budget choice at the time), which is a bit of a letdown compared to the first and third games.

Verdict: Still a masterpiece. If you want pure, classic Hitman puzzles, these are the best levels IOI ever made.
