As you may have noticed, CosySox is still online and running.

Fatal Exception decided to take over the torch, so I gave him everything needed to keep it running.

As a result of this generosity, CosySox is granted some more time to be alive.

It might not change very much but when fatal has the time to learn new tricks, this might change in the future.

The overall performance of the server is OK and good enough for playing.

Don't expect the performance of smokers server but well, it is good enough to play on it anyways. As I saw it is daily populated after 20:00.

And as long as it is good enough to chat, it is good enough, for my needs.

So the legacy continues.

Hello former fellow soxians,

first of all Lala won the last treasure hunt, the car was parked in the last map of dead air on the runway. But since she only plays L4D there is no sense in gifting her anything she wont play anyways. So I keep that money and get me a drink or something.

Starting 19 JAN, 2019 cosysox quickly became the home of a lot of good fun players who enjoyed the fun more than any competitive ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ - noone cares about anyways - that other servers tried to provide. For me Roto2 and all the ♥♥♥♥ in it made it unique enough to have his own right of existance. Why make another vanilla ♥♥♥♥ server, we have plenty. Why make another copy of a cfg which is always the same. While I am aware that cosysox was some kind of mirinda frankenstein, it was a lot of fun modding it and playing on it. I even had a lot of fun reporting ddos to ISPs wordwide *wink wink nudge nudge*, hope your accounts are still suspended.

Over the years we celebrated a lot of frigays and a bunch of awesome one in a million deaths noone expected on this server and we we had a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of funny chats. Did I state that l4d for me was always 5% play and 95% chat?

After 2 years it died and was resurrected by our generous host Smokers. Who actually payed thousends of € the past years. Cheers to him I say!!! Now some years later smokers decided to move on and support some minecraft servers or barbie dreamhouse multiplayer or something like that. I forgot what it was but it is his DAMN right to do so.

So with this server death I once again decided it is time to say sayonara to server hosting for me.

But Chins, is this really your last call? You may ask. That's it? Shut it down and move on?

Well yes, basically it is. So play on it as long as it is online and that will be until dec 1. It wont survive the daily reboot, trust me on that, I implemented a server selfdestruct script for that day. You know like in that old mission imposible thing.

So while sayonara means goodbye forever, it does not mean that we will never meet again, probably on mirinda or we invade the ZEN servers. Something in between I guess.

I move on for new games, Pip said I should give ARMA 2 a try but that is probably a trick. Anyways, thanks for your support by playing on the best l4d server ever created. THE BEST SERVER ON THIS SIDE OF THE GALAXY ACTUALLY. Well. Take care.
