⚡ NEW: Groups/CrateAndCrowbar/announcements - Full Gallery 2025

The time has come for the first (in quite some time, that is) Crate & Crowbar community tournaments! Since this is tournament series #1, we're going to have a bunch of 1 on 1s! Here is the sign up link[docs.google.com], and the details for each tournament can be found below. Once everyone has signed up, brackets will be posted on Challonge. If there are any questions, you may contact me on Discord, Steam, Twitter, or email (Steam is probably the slowest method for me to respond).

Sign ups will be open through Sunday, April 2nd. Tournaments will take place throughout April and the next round of tournaments (games and formats TBD) will have sign ups open April 24th-April 30th.

Also, if participants would like to have a few commentated show matches on the weekends, let me know and I'll see what we can arrange!

FORMAT

• Double elimination, ongoing
  
• Best of 3
  
• Players will have 7 days to complete each round or drop from the tournament
  
  • When all players complete a round, the next 7 days starts
• Seeds will be assigned based on Estimated MMR at Open Dota

SPECIFICS

• First match: one player picks hero, other player picks server
  
• Second match: swap
  
• Third match: Shadow Fiend on server with best mutual ping
  
• No farming neutrals
  
• No runes
  
• No shrines

FORMAT
Up to 4 entrants:

• Round robin, one day event (date TBD)
  
• Best of 3

5-9 entrants:

• Round robin, ongoing
  
• Best of 3

10+ entrants:

• Double elimination, ongoing
  
• Best of 5
  
• Players will have 7 days to complete each round or drop from the tournament
  
  • When all players complete a round, the next 7 days starts
• Seeds will be assigned based on Solo Duel Skill Rating

SPECIFICS

• Matches will be 5 minutes, played with default soccar settings
  
• Entrants will vote during sign up to choose a default stadium
  
  • A match may take place at a different stadium, if both players agree
• All games will be played in private matches on European servers
  
  • Player with the higher Skill Rating will host the private match and choose color

FORMAT

• Round robin, ongoing
  
• Best of 3 standard games of best of 5 rounds

SPECIFICS

• First match: one player, randomly chosen, will pick the map
  
• Second match: the other player picks the map
  
• Third match: the first player picks again
  
• Players may switch heroesbetween matches
  
• Entrants will vote during sign up on whether or not to ban any heroes
  
• Hosting method TBD - ideally 4 players join a 2v2, and 2 simply spectate. If participants do not expect to be able to reliably arrange schedules, then a suitably equitable method will be determined

• Saber duels: force jumps, no other force powers
  
• Matches will be hosted on a community member's server

Hello, you wonderful people! Recently, on the Discord server, there's been talk of resurrecting this group for more active use, so we're going to try to do just that. One thing we'll do is officially post leaderboads for the Spelunky Monthly Challenge, like we used to do on the forums. The other things we'll do? Well that will depend on what every wants! There's room for ongoing tournament and league play for games, as well as live community events in all your favorite multiplayer games.
