Thought I would get another review out for you guys before Christmas because it is the first day of "The 12 Games of Christmas" and I didn't want you guys to have to wait that long for another review. So without further adieu, I give you Stardew Valley!

Since Stardew Valley was released it has consistently stayed one of the most played games on Steam. While I was playing it I figured out why something about the charming and peaceful farming life has kept me intrigued for hours. So without further adieu, I give you Stardew Valley.

Stardew Valley is about the peaceful farming life, the stress and heavy workload of working at Joja Mart you move to your grandfather farm in scenic and sleepy Stardew Valley. So many of us can relate to this, working hard at our workplaces or working hard to write reviews that escaping to the beautiful countryside is an opportunity we would happily take.

The game is about farming, mining, foraging and befriending the locals. Farming is done very well, there are 4 different seasons for every season there are different crops to go along with them. Of course, you can use several different fertilisers and sprinklers to make your daily farm work much easier. As far as I have got (which is Summer Year 2) I have planted around 25 different crops. Other than the crops you can plant and grow you can also forage for different crops depending on the season. If you don't prefer growing crops you can raise pigs, sheep, cows, rabbits, and chickens all of which provide you with products to sell and make some cash.

Speaking of cash there are so many uses for it, seeds need to be purchased at the beginning of every season, animals need to be purchased, and tools upgraded. Not to mention flowers and a Mermaid's Amulet for any villagers you may want to date and possibly marry (If you have played SDV let me know who you dated/married in the comments) Either way money is good!

When you first arrive at your farm you will find that it is overgrown and run-down. After you begin to clean up your farm you will find that you have a large amount of space free for fields, barns, coops, and assorted machines. These machines can be used to help you makes products to sell or use as resources.

The graphics are simple but fit the game perfectly. As the seasons change so do the graphics. As many of you guys know I love music in games so I always check on the soundtrack. Stardew Valley's soundtrack is amazing and you can always unlock more songs by triggering different events. One of the most important things in any game is the controls, Stardew valley doesn't have anything special in this department, which can be bad or good, so if you like the simple WASD movement you'll love SDV.

There are about 30 different villagers in the town that you can befriend. Some of them are single and available to marry and others are there to help you along your way. As you give gifts and talk to them you can learn about their different likes and dislikes as well as trigger certain cutscenes that will explain that villager's story. The cutscenes are all very well done with the a button to skip them, if you so desire, but I prefer to watch them.

To sum up, Stardew Valley is an amazing game, I really suggest you check it out and at least add it to your wishlist if not buy it. There is so much to do and so many different ways of doing it I see myself spending lots and lots of time on this one. And now the moment we have all been waiting for the GhostScale! Stardew Valley has received a perfect score at 10/10 points, that really shows how amazing this game is and you all need to check it out!

I have been thinking about trying a new type of giveaway. That new type of giveaway would be like a jackpot giveaway. Basically the way it would work is I would start off giving away 3-5 items worth $5 then I would come to you guys and say "ok, if you want to be entered to win these items you need to add to the giveaway an item worth $1" So you would send the item that's worth $1 to get an entry. But you really like the items that are being given away so you want more than one entry so you add $3 worth of items and get 3 entries.

Now I understand that it seems crazy but if we got 25 entries you have a chance of winning $30 in items. Also for those of you wondering I wouldn't have a chance of winning :P
