Because the server's IP could potentially change in the future, remember that you can always find it by typing in "gm:quarantine" in the server list's "tags" line.

The same box that hosted the Q server now has a L4D2 DS. Only people in the group can start games on the server, but the lobby leader can open it up to public joins after that.

To force your lobby to connect to the server, type the following in the console *BEFORE* creating your lobby:

mm_dedicated_force_servers 8.17.250.242:27019

The next lobby you create will try to use the group server before checking the whole list. This server is located in San Jose, CA, so anyone in the western half of the US should find it lag-free.


Note: Everytime you exit a lobby or game, the mm_ variable seems to need to be set again.
