BioShock Infinite is well known as a single-player game – the developers even made the choice of removing an already partially-developed multiplayer aspect in order to concentrate completely on the solo campaign. But what if you’ve got friends who are interested in the BioShock universe, and you want to play something BioShock related together? Well, as long as you’ve got an even number of friends (this is a two or four player game, none of this three player malarkey) Plaid Hat Games has you covered with the board game, BioShock Infinite: The Siege of Columbia.

So you were good last year, and Santa gave you plenty of cash for Christmas this year. We’ve put together a bit of an anti-gift-guide to help you lighten the load of that wallet burning a hole in your pocket.

First up is the Call of Duty Collector Construction Sets from Mega Bloks. For the kid in you, Mega Bloks are fantastic as they are – but when you combine video games with play toys, you’re bound to have some fun times!

There are twelve sets available, ranging from under £10, to £50 from all major retailers (Toys R Us, Amazon etc.). We had a play with these official Call of Duty toys over Christmas, building Dome, one of our favourite maps from Modern Warfare 3. How cool is that?

It feels like there is a ridiculous amount of choice for the discerning gamer when it comes to picking a good headset. I’ve used – and reviewed – so many, that these days the most important things to me when using a headset have become quality and comfort. Ease of use is a plus point, of course, and wireless units are a nicety, but are unlikely to please an audiophile who wants the ultra high end unit.

In steps Turtle Beach, and the realisation that I’ve never actually used one of their headsets. Trittons have been my poison until now, but upon first placing the cushion-soft cans upon my elephantine ears (note: I don’t actually have big ears, this is for comedic effect – go with me on this) I wondered what I’d been missing all those years. Comfort is the first box that can be checked off, as no matter the ear-size, the PX4 is comfortable, soft, and lightweight to wear. Huzzah!
