While I held in my expectations and came into this with a positive outlook. I am greatly disappointed in the barren state this game is in. This feels like we took a step back from Skyrim. The writing felt almost childish or generated by AI. Navigation is a mess of loading screens, NPC's are soulless husks and the companions are one dimensional.

When you reach the end game you are awarded with replaying this game to get a better upgraded suit that doesn't even work with a perk you can get in the skill tree that buffs the amount of suite pieces you are wearing. The ship you get as well is God awful in terms of performance and style. We can't even customize the interior so it can include crafting stations etc. Melee in this game is a joke and feels tacked on and not thought out well and to be honest almost everything about this game feels tacked on or just barely functional.

With Bethesda's stances/ability to take/receive feedback they have been taking in regards to this game as well as Skyrim I am uncertain for the future of the next Elder Scrolls game. If this game is the best they could do for an IP that was in development for over half a decade I shudder to think what the next Elder Scrolls game will turn out like.

The multiplayer is not good. Its spawns are easily trappable and overall the toxic corporate agenda that whales keep them pumping more time into the shop is ridiculous, with game mode specific challenges that are ridiculous to complete for a casual player. I liked the campaign and would recommend the campaign as it was mediocre but enjoyable.

I swear if Todd Howard comes out with another way to sell us this game I am still gonna buy it. In all seriousness this game is super popular if you haven't played it you should and if you have you should still play it. Just gotta wait 15 yrs for the next one.

Edit:

Welp this aged well. Now there is the Anniversary Edition the madlad actually did it.

After 750 hours I can say I am enjoying this game. The learning curve is a little steep since the mechanics can be a little difficult to master. Once you do learn and master them the game becomes so much fun. Or you can play the lute using a lute bot, which is fun in its own way. If you are thinking of getting the game. Just get it and try it out for yourself.
