Rebel Galaxy is perhaps the best fun I've had in a game in ages. I'd been looking for something to scratch a persistent itch for a sandboxy space western and Rebel Galaxy hit the spot in a way nothing else managed to. It's just a non-stop crazy good time. Pawning off your weapons systems so that you can kit your starting ship out with massive shields and boosters, then using it to collect dead drops you have no business flying within a jump of at your net worth. Dropping out of warp into the middle of space battles between entire pirate fleets and escaping by the skin of your teeth as dirty blues-rock erupts from your sound system. Being ambushed by overly ambitious mercenary squads, and showing no quarter as you gleefully blast them into the void. Dropping into a station to resupply only to find an insanely good deal on live organs, then hurriedly jetting halfway around the system looking for a buyer before the militia nab you for carrying contraband. Refusing to trade in space slaves on moral grounds until you see how profitable a commodity they can be, then justifying your actions by telling yourself it's okay, maybe they're the alien kind.

10/10, would be a leaf on the wind again.

Fun gameplay. Unfortunately the game crashes every ten minutes, sometimes less, losing your unlocks in the process. Can't recommend.
