Needs a little bit more polishing and probably a bit more details and mechanics like others have suggested aswell such as diplomacy and there's still alot of things that need work but we're getting closer and closer to release so that's exciting! Developers are active and continue to build upon the masterpiece of a game

Project Zomboid is probably one of the most fleshed out survival game we have to date with NPCs not too far around the corner in the next few updates. I've had the game in my library since alpha but actually picked it up recently and have since put almost 250 extra hours into it since the latest build. Playing with others is a blast but PVP can be very unforgiving for characters you put alot of time into building up skills that will carry you through surviving winter and the long-term. There are many mods that change the games theme and atmosphere completely and add alot more mechanics than you would probably actually want but everyone has their own way of customizing their experience and playing.

Highly recommend to support the developers on this one, while it's early access; it has ALOT of potential. This is a very unique game, think prototype meets kenshi/invasion machine (another similar early access simulator) in an RTS/FPS hybrid world where you are containing a virus all while it's actively trying to contain you. Although it's been very rough the first few hours i've been playing, gaining a foothold only to get stomped out by the first horde is where i'm at right now and playing with the multipliers aswell seems to make alot of difference in various playthroughs. Obviously you should be tactical and use the top of buildings, blow up bridges and other things to put yourself at an advantage over the hordes. So, alot of replayability and obviously more stuff coming in the future with UE5 and other updates!

The developers of this game have truly created something magnificent. The FPS drops have been fixed for the most part, while i'm even reaching 130-140 fps in-game sometimes with a GTX 1070. Everything on the battlefield from the landscape to weapons and particles effects are amazingly detailed to a T and the combat feels smooth and rewarding. I'd definitely recommend this game for anyone that might enjoy Squad or any of the Rising Storm games although I'd say it's a little bit more slower-paced and has longer matches vs a game like RS Vietnam, although that doesn't take from the action one bit.
