i remember being intrigued by the initial trailer for this game, as you never have many games set in britain. i'd recently picked it up on sale and gave it a go, not a bad little game at all.
the combat is unfortunately the games weakest element, but it's more of a means to an end. As the mystery of what caused atomfall and traversing the world is the main draw for certain, as well as interacting with the characters within the world.
A must buy on sale, but probably not worth it at full price.

It's very much style over substance, as the game play leaves a lot to be desired. Most of the animations feel ripped right out of the dark souls series, which is egregious. There's equipment that is just objective better than others, so it doesn't feel rewarding to try out new things, and considering the great amount of variety in game, is terrible. The lack of a running or rolling attack also makes the combat feel stiff and obtuse, as well as parrying not feeling rewarding, finding out quickly that blocking is just as efficient and marginally easier to do. Enemies have terrible AI as well, they either constantly chain attacks or only do one and just blankly stare at you.
