What makes it worth buying and playing this?

It includes timeless hours into exploration and discovery for finding the right ship, multi-tool and upgrades.

Building

No Man's Sky allows you to build bases with the dedication, can come out rather impressive and require investment in resources.

Exploration

The Sightseeing aspect allows for rather neat looking photos and finding the right planet to live in. Did I also forget the original exploration goal of going through Galaxies?

Story

There is a narrative story behind of one person from the past, but you have to learn for yourself.

Conclusion

Story: 5/10
Basebuilding: 7/10
Exploration: 9/10

The game is almost 2 decades old and looking back on it, makes me feel different.

The story, the "spank", betrayal and revenge in a 2001 game was unique.
If you played San Andreas and want to see Catalina and the tounge-less snake,
then buy the game on sale, when you can.
