A fun if repetive arcade game. While the combat is slick and visually entertaining, the primary weapon gets tiring and the difference in secondary weapons is barely noticable in the fray. Special abilities are a plus and a variety of characters give you some choice. Unfortunately, each character levels individually and once you've started on one, it's unlikely you'll swap for another ability.

The reason with sticking to one character; the difficulty has a tremendous learning curve right at the start and I found myself failing and re-starting the first mission (with an unskippable cutscene) over and over again just to level up and unlock a health bonus. Between this and the gameplay itself, I could only recommend this game if you enjoy listening to podcasts, music, or videos on another tab while mindlessly playing. There's just not much investment in an otherwise enjoyable game.

I am recommending it because it can be fun (despite doing the same basic tasks on repeat) but also because I happened to get it free. But if you have the money and time to spare then it won't be a noticable disappointment.

Bridge Constructor is one of those games that sets out to do exactly what it's called; a fun, simple 'puzzle' game of sorts in which you construct bridges. I got this free in a humble bundle so it's a nice gift to pass the time but I feel it can also make a worthwhile gift to someone when it's on a sale. It certainly isn't something for an invested player, definitely a casual release that can often bring a chuckle or two with the bouncy physics that prove as long as the cars fly across the screen at 100mph then that bridge apparently works.
