I think it's a great game. Sure it is true that it is not breaking new ground but does it have to to be entertaining? I have played all the way to the end of the current story and did not run into any kind of glitch or contradiction. It plays smooth and has an engaging but not terrible inspired or original premise. It was exactly what I wanted it to be. I just wish there was more. I am really looking forward to more game play. Good job, I wish you guys the best.

I am a big fan of 40k. I play Tau in the tabletop. I remember playing the original chaos gate and loving it but this game was surprisingly disappointing. The graphics are great, the mechanics are good, and the music and audio work are top notch. The problem as I see it is that every mission is essentially the same. The tactics are the same every time. The map fallows the exact same pattern every time. The enemies all spawn and behave in the exact same time every time. The only variation is the enemies increasing in power and having a different look. Their abilities even have very limited variation. I really got so board with it pretty quickly. I do not know if the dlcs add anything new to the mission patterns but I am not going to pay more to play the same missions over and over. Be well and happy gaming.

The biggest compliment I can say is that I have more hours in this game than any other I own here on Steam. The level of detail and immersion is unmatched by any game I have ever played. It is also (in its base game) one of the hardest games I know. And to boot the community is really deep in the modding and such. There is just so much to do and explore. PZ gets my highest recommendation of any game in this genre. My teenage son once told me he measures game value at a minimum of $1 per play hour. I would say at this point I have gotten my hours for a nickle. Be well and happy gaming.

So at the time of this writing it just celebrated a month after release into ea. I got this for $15 (usd). I think the concept is great and it has amazing potential. It is VERY rough right now. It has things to build that the ingredients do not actually exist in the game. I fully expect that to change because the developers appear to be really working and addressing the problems that come up. It does needs an incredible amount of polish and development. And to be honest I do not think at this point it is worth more than the $15 I paid. However if they keep up with the potential this game has I think it would be worth a lot more. (I could see it at $45 + one day). On the other side I have seen lots of games end up in ea development hell so the commitment by the makers is going to be the deciding factor. I think that I own almost all of the survival/craft games that Steam offers and I think this has some of the best potential of them all. Right now it's so rough that it could go ether way. Best of luck and happy gaming

The saddest part of writing this review is that I liked the actual game. But enjoying a game is little solace when it will not run. When it first came out I bought the full copy with the upcoming dlc characters. I then played and beat the game. I did not have too many problems then, some freezes and crashes but nothing that restarting and saves could not get around. And again I really liked the game. I then have waited for all of the dlcs to come out and have tried to play again. I have not been able to even get to unlock the new characters in game because it crashes constantly and now will not even boot up. It crashes to the send report/do not send report screen. This is not like you had bought an ea game where you were well aware that it was a work in progress. This is a major franchise from an established company. I am an adult and I am a professional in a completely different field. I only play games I know less than nothing about developing them but I do not understand how this is even legal. If you bought a book, movie, album or anything really and it was blank or broken half way through you would demand and get a refund. Why does this industry get to steal by misrepresenting their product? So I regretfully advise anyone thinking of this purchase to not buy it unless you have money to burn. Be well.

I have been very impressed with this game. Very simple graphics by lots of it hand drawn mixed with what appears as some digitized footage of people moving. Also if you are a management fan it can be very challenging but there are so many stories to choose from some will fit all playing levels. I found some of the story modes almost hard to play. I have children and this game is based (as I understand) on a city seige that lasted some 4 years. If some of the storylines do not pull at your heart then check in case someone stole part of your soul. It is also amazing game play verses your money. Socially important, good game play, value, and more. I could not give it a better recommendation. Best of luck and health and happy gaming.

Hello. This is the second review I have made for this product. I voluntarily deleted the first because of some terribly vile comments that do not belong on this kind of platform. This is a review for potential buyers of Colony Ship. There are many good aspects to this game and I feel it shows great promise. It has an interesting theme and story setting. It also has some striking if simple graphics. At this time I say it is a poor purchase because of the value of play vs the cost. In my opinion there is only a few hours of game play currently available. Unless you want to play the first chapter over and over with different builds. This brings me to the build options. The game claims a variable system but I found that to be untrue. If playing a Charisma/ Intelligence build it becomes formulaic and predictable. Also, I do not feel you can actually get away without having some offensive capabilities. I feel the combat system is erratic. Cover, movement, and weapon stats are so completely unworkable that most fights are repeated over and over to achieve a positive result. It is a combat grind. Save, fight, save fight, until you win. I do not find that enjoyable. Some have made the arguments that the game is meant to be a serious challenge and also that this is the nature of an ea game. I actually agree with the second part except that of all ea titles I have this is the absolute bottom of the barrel in play ability. I find it functionally unworkable in it's current form. I have also questioned the way some of their developers communicate with their own customers. I felt they came off rude and entitled but I understand they are a very small company (some said 3 people) so they may be very sensitive to criticism. You would think it would motivate them to act in the opposite in an effort to cultivate more buyers. As I said before I think it is currently a BAD purchase but it has GREAT potential to be an epic game. Sadly I have turned off comments because of some of the things said by super fans. I wish you all the best and happy gaming. Months later and it is still going downhill fast. I think my earlier hope that they would turn it into something good was wrong. Its just terrible.

This is a tiny little indie game and I have loved it. With a bare minimum of graphics, a good soundtrack, and very rich story this gives you way more bang for your buck than most games I buy for $60. If you are a fast paced action fan move on. Also if you are easily defeated by loosing a few dozen games move on. Last I want to say that as an American I have an only basic knowledge of Russian history or some of the other great events that shaped Europe. I felt like I really learned something and that's kind of rare in a video game. Happy Gaming.

I love XCOM. I have liked almost all of them. And I think this could be fun if it ran. after a few hours of playtime it crashes almost constantly. Perhaps in the future when they have fixed this it will be playable. I strongly question the idea of releasing a product like this when it is still so glitchy. Most EA games run better than this. Happy Gaming At around 25 hours in it crashes just too often for me to accept. Perhaps I will play in the future once it is corrected. I got this on sale for $10 and still overpaid. I do not recommend this game in its current form. Happy Gaming
