Rabbit and Steel's claim to fame is condensed MMORPG raid combat that's quick and easy to jump into, and it does the job amazingly well!! The formula is simple: use your ability rotations while quickly reading boss attacks that require adequate positioning to dodge. In Rabbit and Steel, this formula is streamlined into a package with no fluff whatsoever (except for the rabbit fur). You even get to roll for loot, if you don't have friends you can agree with! The fights are scaled properly with any number of players ranging from 1 to 4 which lets you have a wide range of experiences since each party size feels different. And for the hardcore players, there's Lunar difficulty which is actually really difficult!! The fights are visually quite simple and don't have loads of intricate animation, but there's enough that they feel quite intense especially when combined with the wonderful music in this game.

Probably my one gripe with Rabbit and Steel is the lack of a practice mode, which I could really use as I try to figure out enemy attack patterns to have a chance at Lunar difficulty.

Overall a fantastic game with a lot of replayability, I recommend Rabbit and Steel to anyone who's looking for a simple yet challenging game that they can also play with their friends!

This game ROCKS and let me tell you why. It's a great entry point into traditional roguelike gameplay because the game has a lot of quality of life features and effective tutorialisation. Also, you can play with autosaves on (like I did) which makes the game a lot easier to beat, so you don't need to be concerned about the game being too hard. And there's enough content in the game that I didn't mind going through it all relatively quickly (thanks to autosaves).
The game's lore is fantastic, and the art style, music and writing all combine to create a dark and scary world that I was excited to explore. The game is full of treasure to find and mysteries to unravel, so it's worth checking out every inch of the map.

While this game is full of good, I do have some minor gripes with it. The world is frustrating to navigate at later stages of the game because most combat encounters become trivial but still take up time, especially in the overworld. I also think that the procedurally generated dungeons become slightly tedious at the end of the game, because they don't have the loot to justify how long they take. In fact, a lot of dungeons only have one piece of unique loot which is a little unfortunate.

Overall, my opinion of this game is very positive and I highly recommend it to anybody interested in traditional roguelike gameplay.

Basically the most fun time I could've imagined being a tiny and really mobile spider that can do just about anything with enough webs. I love the cast of bugs and the variety of challenges, which I think are perfectly suited to a game that's quite brief. And the whole game culminates really nicely at the end!! It's definitely worth playing!!
