Early Access Review
TL;DR: 10/10 Highly recommend.

Detailed glazing:
This is already one of my favorite games I've found on steam and it's still in early access. It was very much worth the $10 (I've since bought the supporter pack as well), but I honestly wish I paid more for it- the developers are doing great work. All of the criticisms I have about the game are just that I wish there was MORE- more objectives, more specimens, more difficulty modifiers, more maps (in order from most important to negligible). Obviously all of these will come with time though. I'm gonna list some things that I think could be improved, but again, the game is already peak.
Aside from the glazing, here's some things that I'd like to see changed or reviewed:
1. I think the crosshair moves up and to the right when you aim down sights, at least on the pistol, which obviously negatively affects your ability to accurately hit headshots, especially in a rush
2. The scorpion sometimes feels kind of impossible to not get poisoned by- it can kill you before a single drop comes down from the vent, so even if you're being careful and checking for puddles, it can arrive as soon as you start walking and stab you instantly. This can ruin a run (a very fun run at that, since the scorpion adds a lot of cool spice to the game)
3. It's kind of weird that the line-of-sight robot can spawn in solo missions. There should be some way to deal with it other than hoping you're somehow able to run away
4. I personally don't like that the corpses of the ghost and dog look the same. This isn't a huge deal at all, but I just wish I could know from the start, especially when the instant power modifier is on
5. I would LOVE more ship upgrades, especially having a respawn chamber would be cool, despite only working for one person. Just would feel pretty cool to have one on the ship I think.
6. I don't think the monsters have any specific animations for after they're captured. It would be really cool to see the dog and scorpion pacing circles around its cell, or the ghost trying (and failing) to teleport, etc. This would make capture feel a little more climactic than just staring at each other through the glass lol
7. It would be cool if there was some item to inject adrenaline into yourself outside of an emergency. Could be a rare floor item or just a late-game upgrade to the stim pack, but would be pretty neat to see.
8. I always play with the same few friends, so it would be cool if the progress made was a little less individual. Or even if there was just some screen or something that showed my ship's "crew" (3 people i've played the most with) etc. At heart, the game is really great as a co-op to play with your friends, so it would be cool to see the game lean into that even just a bit, without making it necessary and without making it an actually worse option to play with strangers.
Overall, this game is great and I'm super excited to see it progress. I'm hoping the team is able to get the proper funds to expedite development even more (just because it's an obsessively good game), but they're doing great so far and I would never want to see the game be over-rushed. If you're on the fence, this is your sign to pay the price of a starbucks order to give it a shot

Incredible game, with a beautiful and very consistent art style (that fits very well, i might add.) if the game is still in development, i'd love to see more classes added, since there's only 5 (if i'm not mistaken), as opposed to the myriad of backgrounds. super fun to play with a group of friends, the more the better.

i will warn that this game is incredibly difficult, and the less people you have, the harder it is. then again, i usually don't like very difficult games, but i love this game anyway.

I picked this game up just looking for something to play for 15 minutes while listening to some chill music. Eventually, it became something to play for 4 hours while listening to some chill music- which i'm still doing. The game has a couple minor glitches that can get annoying, but they don't ruin the game or stop you from playing. All-around wonderful game. After a few updates, it could be amazing.
