Was abandoned by the dev the moment it was approved for public achievements.
Cool idea, but clunky execution. Extremely short game that starts but does not finish a storyline.
Possibly worth the time of a bored dragon fanatic while on sale.

Never expected a spiritual successor to Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis, but I've very much enjoyed my time with it. It gets a little micro-managy at times once you're playing on larger maps but I enjoy the overall vibe and managing the competing science, entertainment and 'security' departments.

Lacks the in depth customization seen in the likes of Planet Zoo or even Jurassic World Evolution 2 but I think comes off as a more relaxed package overall due to that (even with natural and man made disasters). Sometimes you just want to sit back and enjoy the dinosaurs, and this game excels at that.

The outsourced 2nd and 3rd game get increasingly unstable due to the large number of minigames (skateboarding in particular is incredibly buggy), Sgt. Byrd's rockets attempt to home in on targets but end up missing anyway, hover will bounce off the edge of some platforms that can be reached with a normal glide and the boss battle camera tracking renders the 3rd game final boss nearly unplayable compared to the original.

It's still Spyro though. I miss this genre badly. 10/10

Great game, I sure hope the franchise, company and industry at large doesn't stagnate for 10+ years after such a success!

Legit though it's good I swear. At least try Morrowind, it's jank but has the most soul out of the series.

Legitimately the most predatory systems I've seen in any MMO still being run by the original publishers. Holds inventory space hostage, employs arbitrary timers and restrictions on shops and crafting to ensure daily logins, extortionate cash shop with lootboxes and to top it all off, disrespects established Elder Scrolls lore. Bugs persist for years before being addressed, if at all. Quality of life features are non-existent.
This game does not respect your time in any way.

So few people play this that you'll basically be matched with premade groups of veterans every game. It's just another freemium whale hunt, battlepass and all. Pretty models, interesting premise, but all just a front to sell worthless digital goods.

Early Access Review
Hostile community and devs, has barely developed outside of graphical fidelity since the 2016 alpha build. At time of writing none of the originally promised features (disasters, human playmode, monster playmode, lore/story) have been publicly implemented. Development is entirely focused on refining minor details while the foundational gameplay loop itself remains non existent. Performance has gotten steadily worse over the iterations, as has the population of players using cheats.

Gameplay consists of (assuming you can get into the servers without timing out) spawning in as a baby dinosaur, wandering around or hiding in a bush, occasionally moving to water or food, getting in a fight and dying, starting again from scratch. Growing in order to fully participate in 'endgame' (PvP) takes many hours, and the control scheme feels disjointed, unresponsive and in many cases buggy.

The animations are lovingly crafted, the forest atmosphere is unmatched, but there is nothing to do but stare at these high quality assets and fight brief juddering battles every few hours when your dino is done in the growing oven.

This game has no respect for your time.
