This game feels weird to talk about, because I would say for $20, rather $40 for the complete version, it's quite the package- especially if you manage to nab it on sale. However, I cannot, in good faith, recommend this game. The last forty hours of my playthrough I found myself wishing for the game to end. There are quite a few "gotcha" moments in the game, where decisions made potentially hours (or at the very, very beginning of the playthrough) affect you negatively, and potentially lock you out of endings.

I enjoyed the first sixty or so hours of the game, but past that, it became slow and seemed to drag on quite a bit. The combat also felt miserable, often feeling somewhat, if not completely, in favor of the AI: they often gain access to features (such as negative level effects) far before you do that make the game feel incredibly pitched in their favor.

I usually hate DLCs, but I think that Frontline-59 is an exception- especially for the price. The characters, in the short time they're given, have distinct and enjoyable parts in the story. The story itself is very solid; putting you on the other end of the bloodthirsty infrared missile fired from a prototype jet while your entire fighting force is on the back-foot. The missions felt fresh, but still had that PW style (especially the tunnel mission). Soundtrack was great, as always.

Glad this finally came to PC. Can't wait for more.

Endoparasitic is a hallmark of indie games. A very unique concept on its own, complimented by an intriguing and immersive plot regarding a cosmic horror, I thoroughly enjoyed the game. It only fails in some of it's level design, with saves only occurring at the beginning of levels, I found myself losing quite a bit of progress. When considering that it was developed entirely by a single person, I find this nitpick to be irrelevant.

On top of the already quite enjoyable main story, the Endemic mode is both fun and challenging, with an excellently designed rouge-like system. I've already started with the sequel, which improves the game in nearly every capacity.

I firmly believe that anyone who doesn't like either Hades or Hades II simply has not played either.

Is it morally reprehensible to buy a guest pass into a corporation, find their director's passcode, then set their security system to fire on anyone that isn't myself- entirely to get data on an employee with a secret folder that I need to steal for a job? Yes. Do I care? Absolutely not.
